Well, it’s been a rough week for me, not that I’m alone in that arena, I’m sure. My hubby is of 37.8 years is in the hospital about 60 miles away, and I have been full of worry. It’s a real travel issue to go see him as I am physically challenged and use oxygen. I know he is in good hands, some of the BEST, but that doesn’t seem to negate my worry. Can’t help that. I know I am not alone in these types of challenges, but WOW…..it wears on ya. He watches me create my art pieces when he is home, and a lot of times gives great input into naming them. Sometimes it seems more of a Forum, lol. I like including him into my little world of art. He has always included me in his passion for Bass fishing. I hope I get to have him home again soon. It is indeed empty and lonely here without him. It really makes you think of mortality, mine and his. I wonder how many people think about that on a daily basis? It makes your mind whirl all of a sudden seeing faces of families, people in general that you don’t know being affected by the same sudden thoughts--weird, huh. Makes ya really STOP and yes, smell the Roses. The Roses of the daily life we all take for granted, and wonder about faith. Life beyond death, etc. Makes you think about how really precious our lives are while we are here-to see, touch, feel, taste, and hear all the wonderful sounds of every little thing. It makes you want to truly listen far more carefully to sounds we tend to gloss over, and touch more often-feel more carefully. Enjoy life here as we know it, without taking it being here for granted. I know I will….every single day.
Macabre image of two mirrors in a dilapidated washroom. One mirror is broken and missing in the frame. Photographed with a Leica M6, 35mm Summilux lens and Kodak Tmax 100 film.
I’ve had this idea in my head for so long, I thought it was gonna blow.
A crazy yet succinct view of the world through my eyes. Patterns are everywhere, some are normal, most are irregular and disjointed. Many cross each other’s path, some without knowing, many in the weirdest way.
