WARNING: Viewer Discretion Strongly Adviced! This is my first wake-up call in my domestic Violence series. On my old art account I created this series and got quite attention for my work. But what is my goal with that? To manifest with my art that world peace starts at home and you can only end Domestiv Violence when you face the issue and cannot look away from this rapidly growing problem. Could you look away from this artwork? Does this completely caught your attention? It should since those are worlds millions of people hear right now in this very moment and even worse. Did you know: - Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime - The most rapid growth in domestic relations caseloads is occurring in domestic violence filings. Between 1993 and 1995, 18 of 32 states with three year filing figures reported an increase of 20 percent or more. - In a national survey of more than 6,000 American families, 50 percent of the men who frequently assaulted their wives also frequently abused their children. Slightly more than half of female victims of intimate violence live in households with children under age 12. Studies suggest that between 3.3 – 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually. And this is not even the tip of the Iceberg, those are just a few noted statistics, but it is fact that this is not even the half of all “happening” cases around the world. What drove me to make this series? A lot. Someone very close and myself come out of violent families. My life long I have been treated like the sun wouldn’t shine for me too. Years long I have been hid from reality and locked in darkness, I lost my childhood and my youth through domestic violence and I can say that today strong like a rock. My life today is a lot better, my wife gives me the love I never had and felt and I give her the same back in my adornment and service. Unfortunately many woman/children/men go through this hell this very moment but the only problem politicians care about is to build up the nuke stock in their rocket facilities. They rather care to invest more money in war and weaponary as to support families, women and children who deserve a chance to live a happy life like our human and religious right tells us. I want to catch your attention with this image to say to you as a brother of this world, that you have the same rights to live as any other person, your gender, your creed or race doesn’t matter since we are all the same human, the same valuable and same unique and under the face of God are we all the same. Our lifetime is important and how we recieve our family, friends and even our neighbours will not be unseen, the generations will copy your behaviour and treat others the same. So…could you look away? I have a major plan with thi series since I would love to expand this as big as I can (even public plans), the next days will crystalize if I can move someones hearts or not. Incognito – nothing like the perfect disguise (excuse the pun). what better to escape being noticed than this full scale disguise assalt. look one way while your owl hat wisely stares your foes down at 45’s. share strawberry eskimo kisses with ur accompliss to avoid being noticed and when all that fails blow the whistle at your assailant creating confusion for an escape or even a counter attack!

/ In my goal to portray women in all guises and emotions, here is the latetst addition to the collection..”The Temptation”....we all know what the feeling…temptation comes in many disguises…is she the temptress, or has she been tempted?make of her what you will… / When I was halfway through painting it, I remembered a picture I had seen in a magazine advertising lipstick….the model had her fingers on the open lips…. I thought they would be a perfect addititon to the painting, but I needed to see them again, just to be sure…. I frantically dug through my recycling bin (luckily we are having a garbage strike and everthing is still here) and found the picture…..the fingers were just what I needed…it was apparent that the picture had been buried in my subconscious, just waiting to emerge in this painting….I made the modifications to the image and here it is Acrylic and watercolour on Fabriano Paper.. 613 views…33 Favouritings.. “The Party” or the party goer..either way her eyes speak volumes as all the other in the series do…the party goes on…is it life…the chatter, unrhymed, no listeners, mistrust? / “You cannot read me like an open book, I’m more myself than you will ever look”, the poem states…and later “Will no one listen to my song, i shan’t be with you very long”...a lot to think about... As in Bathsheba Everdene, from Thomas Hardy’s “Far from the Madding Crowd”...within a short time of arriving at her aunt’s house, Bathsheba has the neighbouring young men at her feet…independent, beautiful and intelligent, she rises quickly when she inherits her uncle’s farm, then shocks everyone by deciding to manage it herself…..her three suitors are each determined to marry her.. / “The book (which I have read a zillion times), has been described as an early piece of feminist literature, since it features an independent woman with the courage to defy convention by running a farm herself. When exactly nine years had passed since this gracious being appeared to me, as I have described, it happened that on the last day of this intervening period this marvel appeared before me again, dressed in purest white, walking between two other women of distinguished bearing, both older than herself. As this was the first time she had ever spoken to me, I was filled with such joy that, my senses reeling, I had to withdraw from the sight of others. So I returned to the loneliness of my room and began to think about this gracious person. Dante (La Vita Nuova III) Dante first met Beatrice when he was nine and she was a year younger…he was entranced with her, but they did not meet again until nine years later..he went home and wrote what is considered to be one of the worlds greatest romantic poems, “La Vita Nuova”... many painters have recorded their meeting on the bridge…however there is only one (presumed) portrait of her…I discovered it after I painted this and there is no resemblance.. / Dante thought her angelic…I hope you think the same of my Beatrice...
