Thought I’d start off with something simple.
This is another Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo with the early stages of Beak and Feather Disease. As can be seen, it’s crest is not as regal as it could be.
Black colored cigarette symbolising the black lungs it causes

All day today I have swallowed, hard, the bitter notion to cry… / Another week, another day, another night to go creeping by. / In a grip of emotion that squeezes too tight, I can hardly breathe… / It’s heavy and smothering, as though it comes to suffocate me / So many people around me, yet I feel undeniably secluded… / Even in a crowd of family and friends I am somehow seperated. / I don’t want to feel this way, I hate this constant threat of tears… / But lonely like a disease eats away at me, lonely is my fear. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ / I know the good Lord blesses those who have a giving heart and that is Bonnie!
Here after escaping certain death a few times, including her rapacious and pickaxe wielding cad of a boyfriend and at least two scythe wielding undead farmers, Helena finds herself in an eerie Irish woodland, missing a sleeve of her incredibly expensive trenchcoat. Unbeknownst to her Desmond the gravedigger lurks in these woods. Will he be her saviour or the end of her?
My husband Charlie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease last year. He is an active and exceptionally creative artist who has his Masters in Art History. He worked as an event planner setting up large events for weddings, charity events and the governor’s ball for the Oscars. One of the most exciting events he did was a charity event to raise money for the preservation of the rain forest, a passionate commitment by Sting who performed for an intimate group that was tented and decorated as a rain forest. The proceeds from this event contributed several million dollars to restore the damage done to the ecosystem in Peru’s rainforests. He has done some extraordinary events like the annual walk of fame honoring an artist and pioneer in courtier fashion on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The last event honored Salvatore Ferragamo, the brilliant Italian Shoe Designer for men and women. I was fortunate to take photos of the event and will upload some wonderful images including his innovative designs and creation of the stiletto heel made famous by Marilyn Monroe. Due to the rapid progression of this debilitating disease, Charlie could no longer work and instead of becoming a victim, he found an opportunity in crisis when confronting the reality of this progressive disease and the impact on quality of life. A new door opened and he discovered his passion for the fabric arts creating stunning duvets, quilts, shams, pillows and clothing. Our dogs Molly and Mikey are very attached to us and are important members of our family. Molly is a gorgeous and loving red and white Irish Setter. Charlie and I both suffer from health issues and when we are sick or in severe pain Molly “Nightingale” senses this immediately and moves her body close enough to soothe Charlie, puts her head on his chest or as you can see in this moving photograph, Molly has placed her head looking upward to soothe the painful symptoms of this neurogenerative disease. She is the best medicine with her soft fur and infinite love and devotion. She never strays from Charlie when he has a very difficult day dealing with the symptoms of PD and the side effects of the medications. Our precious Molly will spend as many hours as needed lying quietly to provide the best therapy available for anyone in pain, her unconditional love and soothing spirit. This is my 12 year old puppy Mattie. Isn’t she beautiful? She is my life, she is my muse. I’m downloading many photos of Mattie in hopes of raising money. She recently passed away after fighting liver cancer. She fought the horrible disease for 2 months with chemotherapy, but in the end it took her life. The last chemo session, she looked at me and softly said she was tired. So, I took her home and made a bed on the floor for the 2 of us and I held her through the night until she passed away in my arms the next morning. She is missed every second of every day, but she will live on forever in the hearts of everyone she met and new. So every t-shirt and piece of artwork I sell will go to paying off her final $10,000 of doctor bills. I love you my perfect angel.

Crude… This may be the legacy we leave behind us as a species if we continue living the energy consuming lifestyles we do. Crude is the malignant cancer of the Earth, oozing from beneath the Earth like puss from an infected wound. Crude, like cancer, grows and spreads while destroying everything it comes in contact with… environments, societies, wildlife, and economies. / / This is a fractal artwork that was inspired by two recent events. / / First, was the news that Exxon managed, through lengthy legal finagling, to have there fines for the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska reduced from the 8 billion dollars awarded by the original jury trial to only 347 million dollars… mere chump change for the world’s largest corporation that has continually had the highest profits in recorded business history. Once again, the taxpayers will end up paying for the difference between that amount and the actual amount to try and restore the devastation created by the spill. / / Second, was the fervor of the speakers at the Republican National Convention about opening up both the Alaska Wildlife Preserve on the North Slope, and the coastal waters that surround North America, to drilling for oil. We have seen the actual damages that occur from both of these scenarios, through a long list of previous incidents over the past fifty years, but they are memories to be swept under the rug in the ongoing quest for riches by all those with a financial interest in the oil industry. / / We have been clearly given all the warning signs of our impending demise by nature herself, yet we continue to live in denial about the changes we must all take together to save both ourselves and our planet. All of the world’s oldest aboriginal cultures on every continent worldwide have lived for many millenniums with the knowledge that we must live in harmony with the Earth. Yet, we fail to learn from that wisdom and knowledge that has been responsible for these cultures having survived for as long as they have. / / Time has come to remove this cancer called crude, or we shall perish from the tumor it creates within all of nature. Time has come to adhere to the wisdom and experience of our aboriginal forefathers in living in harmony with our environment. All my personal proceeds from any sales on this artwork are being donated to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) , for all the work they have done, and continue to do, for the wildlife victims of these oil spill disasters. IFAW is currently one of the largest animal welfare and conservation charities in the world. / / Peace & Love, Art 4 Earth /
Raise breast cancer awareness with this cool shirt !
This is done in shades of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Week. There other shades of this image on my site. This is a moment that I shared with Christ, in prayer. I have suffered from an extensive Spinal Disease that is degenerating my spine. A horrible hysterectomy where the physician cut my bladder, and I have not recovered after 4 agony filled years, and many more health issues as a result of the previous two, especially the latter. I am receiving the Lord’s touch everyday in my recovery and coping with chronic pain. Without Him, I would not be here today to ask for those viewing to help fight diseases, a negligent medical field, and sufferers of breast cancer & their families. I have lost two dear family members in two years because of lack of needed medical attention & no insurance for their needs. Please vote for better health care, donate as much as you can, as often as you can~one time is great if that is all that you can do, the need for money is never-ending in this battle, and volunteer for any program that needs your assistance. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A PERSON
Butterfly drawing spun back into an orb as if returning to a chrysalis. It is a representation of how I felt about going through treatment for breast cancer, newly rebirthed but forever changed. / One of my early experiments with photoshop. Can’t tell you what I did as I do not know. I hope however you like the result. Caterpillar / Cocoon / Chrysalis / Emerged / Scared / Reversed Many thanks to the fab hosts at students & beginners for featuring this work. / Honour appreciated
In the year 2020 man has created his own demise, a simple little virus that caused a war .. the great war .. the last war .. that nearly wiped out every living thing .. all that remains are a scattered few .. disease ridden, starving, they are dead but dont release it … food is so scarce, so they prey on each other … based on the film Return of the Living dead, when the yellow cloud had descended on the graveyard where the teenagers had been dancing, drinking and playing music and then dead had risen and started to eat them.
