Photographic based digital montage – 2007 (no 2 from series of 3). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Thank you to both models who wish to remain anonymous. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Just Sometimes (Song of Laughter and Forgetting) by Swervedriver – entered in Red Bubble ‘songmanip07 – Musical Photo Competition’. So many great entries. • Treasured Discoveries
    by Paul Tupman

    US$4.56–US$121.60

This is a shot of the well known Treasury of Petra, “The Rose City”, in Jordan. It was caught just at the end of the day as the sun was setting, the crowds dispersing and the camels resting! Of all the things I have seen, this is definately a highlight. The feeling I got as I walked down the narrow siq and got a first glimpse of the Treasury from between the rocks is one I’ll never forget!

My son can’t stop watching the fishes in the Maui Ocean Center.

  • i love those moments when you catch your child deep in thought and you look at them and wonder what they are thinking about…. sometimes you just don’t know, other times you know exactly. I think Fleur is thinking, i am going to eat my chocolate bar, then i am going paddling in that freezing cold lake and then when i grow up i shall rule the world.’ Simple really!!!

  • Busselton Jetty Discovery Center
    by cozmist

    US$3.85–US$102.60

At the Beginning of the Busselton Jetty is a Discover Centre that has arts and crafts as well as a small museum dedicated to the jetty. This photo was taken at sunset while I was chasing rainbows was hoping the rainbow would make it down to cross the jetty no such luck but the sunset was great . Extending almost two kilometres out over Geographe Bay, the heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber jetty (pier) in the Southern Hemisphere. The jetty is situated in the seaside resort town of Busselton, the northern gateway to the Margaret River Wine Region . The 142 year old jetty has been ravaged by both fire and cyclone. It exists today thanks to the support of the local community and the thousands of visitors who choose to stroll its length, fish, swim, scuba dive and snorkel. The first railway in Western Australia was located a few kilometres east of the Busselton Jetty. The boatshed style Interpretive Centre, built 50 metres off shore, allows visitors to glimpse the jetty’s rich past and exciting future. Entry is free, and along with exhibits of history, the marine environment and art, the Centre houses an unique range of souvenirs. Described as Australia’s greatest artificial reef, the Busselton Jetty is host to awe inspiring, vividly-coloured tropical and sub-tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates. The Underwater Observatory is quickly becoming one of Western Australia’s major eco tourism attractions. Located 1.8 kilometres towards the end of the Jetty, the Underwater Observatory has been designed to accommodate up to 40 people at one time. Descending eight metres beneath sea level, visitors can view the amazing corals and marine life through 11 viewing windows, located at various levels within the observation chamber. more infomation at : www.busseltonjetty.com.au other images by cozmist: / Busselton Jetty Images / Christmas Cards / Dogs / Birds / Scenery / Creatures

...I just found mine last week!

  • Walking up the fields a few days ago accompanied by Jasper and Tigger our elderly cocker spaniel – we spotted what we thought was a person digging in the middle of the next field ! We couldn’t image what they were doing – so went to investigate… On getting nearer we saw a white balloon that had landed in the grass. Tigger was very brave and barked loudly at it, running towards it – that was until it moved in the wind – at which point he retreated very quickly to a safe place behind my legs and growled in defiance from there!!! Jasper on the other hand rushed forward to investigate – he was fascinated by the white object bobbing up and down and was first to get to it’s location. He was so enamoured with his find that he managed to get his tail wrapped up in the string – we almost lost the balloon as he took off with it attached to his behind!!! We discovered tied to the end of a string a message saying that it had been released by a student from a school in Southampton – with a request for the finder to return the label and a prize for the finder and the student whose balloon had travelled the furthest. We ‘Googled’ the postcode of the school and discovered that it had come some 300 miles north in almost a straight southerly line. I have printed the two pictures of the balloon’s finder, Jasper Cat , and posted them back with the label for the children to see – and thought I would share the story of it’s discovery here on Red Bubble too! xxx Tigger the Brave!!! (Not !) /

A journey is a symbol of transition, change or evolution which is expressed in countless myths and legends where a hero undertakes a journey beset with physical and moral trials.
