The heroes on the day were the bush fire brigade who fought to save the homes and lives of those in the area. This photo does nothing to show the disaster that was unfolding for the locals. Photo was taken of the bush fire in 2000 which came close to Mount Riverview and caused much damage and heart ache in Warrimoo. Proceeds from the sale of this Photo will be donated to the Lower Mountains Bush Fire Brigade who do a fantastic job.

It seems like swans participate in sports days too, but the swan in the foreground seemed totally oblivious, despite all the honking. The swan in the centre just managed to stop in time to avoid disaster.

An interesting and rather odd artifact I found at the Parkdale beach (Melbourne, Australia). I’ve “photoshoped” the image to give it a surreal and “end of the world” look (after a nuclear disaster?).

This is the famous Symphony which used to belong to the Ringling Brothers of the Barnaby Circus. Its was fully sank in a ship yard before the current owner brought it back up and now it sits here where it has been beached by hurricanes. This is the most amazing sunrise I have ever seen. London, UK. August 2004. A fire brigade rests after a terrorism exercise. No… they were not pretending to BE terrorists… they were practicing DEALING with a terrorist threat. (the decontamination shower was behind the truck) Things were still a bit tense when we visited, but we can not wait to get back… (This was taken from the upper deck of a Big Red Bus on the way to the Tower)
