A lone diner at an exclusive restaurant, captured on New York’s Central Park South. Nominated by the brilliant and gracious photographer Nick Board for Red Bubble’s Pay It Forward Group, who wrote, “Judith chronicles brilliantly, the life and times of New York City, mainly in Black and White, but my absolute favourite has to be, “Reservation for One”. In my eyes this is a masterpiece, trully evocative, and to me, captures isolation in the big city, just as memorably as Hopper did in the “jazz age”.“ Featured / Pay It Forward TWICE A HOME PAGE FEATURE SOLD Copyright

A sneak peak at a dinner guest… Some of my vector art:
12×16 colored pencil on Croquill paper. Original unavailable. One of those things that I can’t explain. Complete 1984
Model – Meluxine This is about as ghetto as studio-esque lighting gets. / It’s called daylight. / I know, weird hey. And it’s so cheap it’s scary. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas ps. if you happen to own/know of this ‘pasta’, I would strongly advise against trying to eat it. The model’s only just getting her taste buds back.
Sometimes you just love a certain food a little too much.
/ “Peperonata” is part of the Food Collection... Watercolour on Heavy Wove Paper… 1/4 cup olive oil / 2 large onions, thinly sliced / 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced / 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced / 1 large yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced / 1 fresh rosemary sprig / 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar / preparation Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onions, bell peppers and rosemary and sauté until onions and bell pepper are very tender, about 40 minutes. Mix in vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve hot, warm or at room temperature. Listen to Autumn in New York while you cook this delicious recipe.
/ “Blueberry Tart” came into being this weekend….I was leafing through old magazines looking for recipes to tear out before discarding, and there and then a new series called “Delicious” was born…it will tie in with my Portfolio and Abundance collections, but this will be all about the food itself without any distractions ... / More than just pictures of food, the series will be saying something about our culture and society, and what we consider to be appealing…what does food mean to us beside just keeping us alive? why do we need it to be embellished and attractive? what does it say about us as a society?....the paintings can stand on their own, but will look great grouped together. Below you can see a painting by the most famous painter of everyday things Wayne Thiebaud…I have no plans to follow Thiebaud and others like him, my style is different, but I do admire what he set out to do as a comment on our society, and that is what I would like to emulate ... Watercolour on Sennelier Not Paper… Both Robert Frost and Pablo Neruda, celebrated the simple things in life in their poetry…here is what Frost says about this incredibly healthful berry. Blueberries as big as the end of your thumb, / Real sky-blue, and heavy, and ready to drum / In the cavernous pail of the first one to come! / And all ripe together, not some of them green / And some of them ripe! You ought to have seen... Robert Frost / Cakes Wayne Thiebaud

All South African friends need to make sure that they have had a snoek braai sometime in their lives. It is one of those traditions that go down in your friends memories as unforgettable. / Ingredients: / Melt ½ a block of butter / Add a small can of apricot jam / 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic / Method: / Open your fish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Lavish the butter mixture on the flesh. / Cover your braai grid with heavy duty tin foil and turn the corners up to make a ridge around the outside. / Place your whole fish on the braai grid. Baste continually until the fish is cooked. There is no need to turn it. Serve with salads and bread. CAUTION Snoek is a bony fish…let your friends eat it carefully. Keep bread on hand in case a fish bone does get stuck in a throat. A bread ball will normally push it down. Desert: / Melktert (Milk tart) / This is a milk custard – the dessert has its origins in Holland and was brought over by Dutch settlers. It is a very popular South African dessert or tea time treat. There will be some world famous South African wines on the table for you to choose from. CHEERS AND BON APETIT MY FRIENDS!
This male Eastern bluebird loves to show off his catch before delivering it to the babies in the nesting box. A bright green grasshopper is his latest prize, and he’s displaying it here very proudly! I used to think the meal would be divided among the babies, but as they grow older, I think it’s one grasshopper, whole and sometimes live, down the gullet for one awaiting chick! Ravenous and sometimes raucous, babies bluebirds give their parents a full day’s work hunting up offerings for the table!
