Photographic based digital montage, 2007 (1 from series of 6 – redesigned from 2004/5 Japanese Series). Re-worked combining two from the series. Shot the tree, flowers & combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Generally I tire of my artwork yet still love this series to this day.

Well this is a bit of an experiment with custom brushes and perspective, using Photoshop to just create whatever I wanted over the course of about a week. / Enjoy! =) Title inspired by ‘Keep Your Heart Broken’ by The Rasmus. “My love will grow black if your heart gets stolen / Just promise to keep your heart / One day I’ll come back if the door’s still open / Just promise to keep your heart broken / Forever and after my love / Just promise to keep your heart broken” Time Consumed: About ten hours, maybe a little less. / Tools: Photoshop and Wacom. part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.
