A Susan Epps Oliver original 2008. All rights reserved This work was derived from basically a happy snap taken whilst out walking on Skyline Drive in Virginia. The night I worked on it was stormy and kind of eerie so I decided to imagine how the bridge might have looked on that night. I used the fractalius filter ( Photoshop plug-in ) to give the stringiness to the foliage and then played with many variations in brightness/contrast, colour etc until I arrived at the effect I wanted. It was about 3 hours work which included cloning out stuff which I thought made the image look cluttered. Other Shenandoah Images Waiting for Spring Blue Mountain Scrub Blue Ridge

Taken in the bush near Alice Springs. Waiting for the sun to come up and saw this dead tree and just had to take a shot with all the colours behind it.

The two lovers enter each others mouths in a passionate exchange of lust and sexual energy. Shedding their clothing slowly, they progress to more and more heated exchanges of hand movements and mouth actions. Inside each other, they have found something so alluring and erotic that neither can go a day without the sensuous bodily rhythm they share.

Sin-Eater For a price the Sin-eater will cleanse your soul and conscience of any moral trespass- but are you prepared to pay the price? Tribes have been known to slaughter an animal on the grave, in the belief that it would take upon itself the sins of the dead. In the same manner, it was the province of the Sin-eater to take upon the moral trespasses of a client and whatever the consequences might be in the after life—in return for a token fee. The custom can be traced back to the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and even up to the late 19th century in the British Isles. This is a print of the original piece entitled “I will wait for you here” / It was hand drawn with ink and digitally altered with color and texture. The background is old fabric that was scanned and copied into the print. I absolutely adore this piece. It shoots me right back to fifth grade when my best friend had her dad build us a swing in the woods. I used to swing for hours looking up at the birds…and wait. Im not sure what I was waiting for back then…but it didnt matter, I was happiest there. This print is available for purchase as cards that you can mail to someone you adore (Or more likely, keep for yourself and frame!) and a few prints. You can always view more of my work here: / www.dazeychic.etsy.com Thanks so much for looking! ~Shelli

Just Past Summer It was a time you let go / And caught the wind / Absent a rudder to slice your way through / Just Past Summer, / You let go of wondering how to Love, / You did. / Colors / Blended into one voice / Truth / Beating swiftly / Like cream does to butter. / Just Past Summer, / A fire as big as a sunset / Was started, / Using all the dried up dreams / And the gutter remains. / Rich you said, / Smell the smoke, / Sacred release. / The ashes you spread out like a table / Serving doubt and loneliness / Featuring a cold vichyssoise that had / A hint of Hope. / This hint you said, / Will complement the rest, / Fear not. / Dessert was three layers of / Rich longing, / Covered with a double dark / Butter cream of Love. / Always Love / You said… / Then off you went, / To catch the boat with no rudder, / On a warm Chinook breeze / That took you to Just Past Summer.

A Susan Epps Oliver original 2008. All rights reserved. My interpretation of my neighbourhood….... This started life as a general panoramic photo of the Blue Ridge mountains taken during a trip on Skyline Drive in VA. The main addition to the photo was the use of the fractalius filter but the most time-consuming part was trying to get the colour balance the way I wanted it to be. Software used….. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and Ulead.
