Photographic based digital montage 2007 (1 from series of 6 – redesigned from 2004/5 Japanese Series). Re-worked combining two from the series. I shot the tree, flowers & combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Generally I tire of my artwork yet still love this series to this day.

This work was featured in Live, Love, Dream. A cool change from the warm summer weather. Created entirely in Photoshop using brushes and layer styles. The background was a project I began 3 months ago but completely forgot about :D

Like my kitten image I wanted to paint this little dog with some fantasy flair. This dog is basically my creation I don’t know if there are any dogs that look exactly like this in the world, I’m sure definitely not this colorful. I looked at a few photos of puppies and dogs to get ideas of what type of dog I wanted to create and paint. I played with different colors until I got a result that I liked. I wanted this dog to look very cute and mysterious much like my kitten image.

For this work I wanted to paint a kitten with a little fantasy flair, rather than just a common image of a kitten sitting in a basket. I did this work completely in Photoshop. I looked at many pictures of kittens for reference before working on this because I hadn’t painted many animals before.

...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)

Another image from my recent trip away. Walking in the bush early one morning I was rewarded with this shot. A mysterious little light has been caught on camera winging its way across the landscape. I don’t really know what it is or how it was caused but I’m really happy its there…..... look at it in large view…...:) and you can go here for a close up of the little golden light…...

Dare to dream and risk the nightmare. / The reward is inside us all / The freedom to release your imagination. *Dare To Dream” has been featured in the Digital Art Compilations group, and added to “Dare To Dream” was created in Photoshop using approximately 7 or 8 of my own photos. nearly 40 layers were used at some point or another in the creation process. Each image was on it’s own layer and were blended together through opacity changes, and varying the blend modes.
