Digital artwork created in Photoshop CS3 by layering several original photographs of sections of old farm equipment and a weathered painted wood wall and door with lock. Each layer was blended in a different way. Some, by exclusion, others by muliplication, and still others by overlay. Layers that did not work were deleted.

Digitally remastered image (ACDSee) of a collage of four Morning Glory photographs. I was “playing “with the original collage and got bored of hues and saturation so when over to other effects. Hungry Souls and Angry Ghosts is an audio ritual improvised on the 13th of July 2008. This is the accompanying image. The title comes from a random phrase picked from the I Ching. GRIST – A Demon Sheen’s ritualistic dark ambient improvised collage soundtrack project – no instruments, no composition – where all the sounds are found sounds and all the images are found images. He makes these sounds by running sound-effects CDs through guitar pedals (delays, loops, distortions) and creating layered waves of emotional evocative real-time ceremonies and soundscapes of gnostic space. For each Gristian Ritual that he creates, A Demon Sheen creates an accompanying image. This is a DIGITAL COLLAGE from found textures and images collected from all across the internets. If anyone sees their art being incorporated into his works and doesn’t like it, we can easily take them down. Also, in this piece, he incorporates a fractal image generated in a fractal generator (he can’t remember which) – which of course is another kind of ‘found image’, albeit one generated through mathematical means.
