Lifen is an enchanting and magical water creature known as a mermaid. Her black hair is decorated with a beautiful blue bow. She has a flowing top of blue seaweed, lovely blue tail and fins, and a blue pearl belt. Lifen the mermaid is petting her dolphin friend and holding a seashell as they play near the sandy golden ocean floor that is decorated with green seaweed plants, red corals, purple sea urchins that blow bubbles, and lovely seashells of white and brown stripes.

The Great Blue Skimmer Dragonfly is large, approachable, and beautiful. The female blue skimmers are brown in color and extremely friendly. I’ve experienced delightful encounters with them when they’ve landed on my hand and rested their contentedly. I added the mosaic filter to the background of this image in hopes of making the dragonfly stand out more three-dimensionally.

I think this is a Blue Morpho Butterfly which belongs to the family of Owls; I photographed it at the Insectarium on Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, where butterflies flutter happily in a controlled environment, light on people’s shoulders (and on my toes), and bring smiles to every face. The only downside was the high heat and humidity. It kept the butterflies happy, but my eyeglasses and camera lenses kept fogging up! Still, it was worth the joy of the experience.
