one of my personal favorite, maybe it’s because No.4 was the first piece on which I deliberately put the feel of “texture.” It carries a strong sense of movement that magnifies through the shade, color and geometric effect. Unlike other designs, I applied a horizontal view for this postcard design, and added a white space on the right, just for balance’s sake (the original aspect ratio of No.4 is 1.0). Anyway, enjoy. : ]

This image was created in Photoshop starting from a photo I took of a friend playing a guitar. Using multiple layers I created the background starting with a color filled layer. I created the whirlpool effect by adding clouds and then applying various filters. Duplicating the layer and selecting and removing a color from the layer I was able to then apply various layer styles including bevel and emboss. I also experimented with this image in photoshop. I cut, cropped and merged two flowers from two different pictures together. I dusted them lightly with clouds (photoshop brushes) of different colors, basic brushes, special effect brushes and sharpened the image (filter gallery). I also altered the color (filter forge) and detail. Then I added swirls and leaves (more photoshop brushes) and added some style to it. I love the way this came out!!

With this image I cut out these gorgeous flowers and added cloud brushes in different shades of blue. I then added a leaf swirl with a photoshop brush and added some style to it. For the finishing touches, I sharpened the image and cloned some spots to create darker shades. /

With this image I cut out a guitar from a photo of my brother in law jamming on Easter 2007. I cleaned it up, put it through my filter gallery, added the poster edges effect, then I cloned some spots to darken some areas. I also added some shadow on the bottom of the guitar with my basic brushes (photoshop brushes). I then added swirls (photoshop brushes) and erased some parts of it. For the background I added angel wings (photoshop brushes) and put some style to them. I gave them somewhat of an invisible look so whatever color shirt you choose, the wings will be that color. I also added some hearts (photoshop brushes) because we all have that love for music. Underneath the guitar, I added some musical notes (photoshop brushes) to give it that nice touch. Then I said to myself, what the hell, I will add some splatter paint to it to give some extra color and for more of a playful look. For the colors, I altered the colors with my image adjustments. I fixed the contrast, added highlights, and made an auto color adjustment. This is my entry for the music machines challenge
