Fractals with bold/intense colors are a passion of mine. It’s my magical kingdom I can retreat to, where time has no meaning. :) About 3 years ago, after playing with the “plastic” Apophysis parameter by Liz Tomchek (sp?) for months, I developed a series of Apophysis fractals that I call my “Peacock Series” – since the original fractal resembled the fan tail of a peacock” (“Wild Psychedelic Peacock”). A big thanks to “mignon” for the how to make orbit traps flowers tutorial. Really helped with the leaves and their texture. The rest were my own adjustments, but still uses the twin trap functions in an alternating pattern with blending adjustments on each layer. Stones are a julia with the coloring as doodads 2, with considerable amounts of texture. Some chamomile flowers, as I am fond of many teas, chamomile being high on my list. This idea came to me in a conversation with Lady Time Warrior the other night.
