Spent a bit of time capturing the faces of musicians at a rehearsal for an upcoming show. They were not used to having their portraits taken but some of them got comfortable with the idea. The complete and real title is : “Poupée – InnerSelf”. I asked to myself : Stars… They bright the sky, our eyes, our mind & soul. They are inside of us. We always look for them, for these glimpses of lights and happiness. / Do we really know ourselves? / Do we realize that we have all of this inside of us? / What are we in fact? / As we don’t really look in the correct place, we don’t really know ourselves i decided to ‘almost’ delete the face. NOW AVAILABLE IN PRINT After some weeks of developing this piece in my mind it finally just started to come together. As usual I went at the theme with something different in mind. What are we to say about how the divine eye sees our world or we may see the divine world in comparison to our own. This thought inspired a more surreal feel to the finished product. It was late spring. I had my first assignment to research Peak Troullgrandra to draw new maps for future road passages along section 236. I drove as far NE as I could go before trekking by foot into the higher cliff regions. Id been traveling nearly 4 hours and the air was getting thinner, as i passed a section unseen on the old map, an alcove area appeared. When i saw something so unspeakably sad. It appeared to be anicent trolls. I had heard myths about them as a child. The Elders called them Troullgrandra’s hence the named peak. From what I could surmise from their positioning it looked as though, they had been trekking through the area seeking food and shelter from the harsh snow winters known for the area. The old legends told of those who had escaped north when man came into the area, many were killed for their skins, and to prevent them from killing our people. I approached slowly and knelt down beside the one, she appeared female, I turned to the one sitting, male, his face grievous, you could sense his loss. They had been there for many centuries, the erosion was evident. All i could think was this poor couple, probably trekking alone unable to seek shelter through a storm, she died and he couldnt bare to go on without her, he sat grief stricten and never moved again as if he was….frozen by grief. / I gathered my equitment, and trekked back to the truck when my radio signaled. It was my commander asking if we’d be able to tear through section 236. I looked back at the scene….and replied “Commander the area is unsafe i recommend we try section 237 instead, Im heading that way now” . He answered ” Okay see you back at base in a few hours then.” I placed the radio back in my packet and thought. At least for now they have peace and will remain frozen in time, and if others still exsists out there somewhere maybe they will find them. ©2007 Lisa C. This was painted in Photo Shop on a blank file set at 300 dpi. This painting is NOT photo generated or photo manipulation. This Is Mitch. He is my creation. He is was born in Venice Italy. His mother is Italian his father… well your just going to have to wait till I get his first chapter written. His family moved to the states , NYC, when he was 6. / After his father died his mother (never very caring in the first place) took off and he was left alone to bury his father at the age of 9. The only thing of value he had was a black Journal. After reading it Mitch finds out he is much more than just human. The continence of the journal was the history of his grandfather. Not wanting what happened to his grandfather to happen to him, Mitch takes to the streets. He spent his time growing up on the streets where he met an old blues player who taught him to play a guitar and sing the blues. That’s how he got money, singing on the streets and in joints. With his deep soulful voice and good looks getting a gig was easy. But it wasn’t enough, not for the life he wanted. / So being Italian… It was easy for him to find “other” work. He had learned to knife fight on the streets and became quite good. Then he hooks up with a small time drug lord and so it begins his true life of crime, soon Mitch becomes the right arm man for one of the biggest Mobsters in NYC…… Later , at the height of his success, just 18 Mitch unknowingly kills the Godfather’s nephew in a jealous rage, now he’s their target. / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. As a once psychology major, I was intrigued by Freud’s theory on the id and ego of the human psyche. It has been many years since those classes so my words may be somewhat off. But this piece is a self representation (aren’t they all?) of myself and how the “id” and “ego” play in our life decisions. We all seek pleasure and that constant feeling of euphoria, and our “id”’s only goal is to achieve those feelings without worry or care about the consequences of such actions. It is our “ego” that keeps the “id” in line, allowing us to think before we act, and to be able to foresee what may come of this pleasure seeking. It is a constant battle that wages on beneath our skin and sometimes the “id” overcomes. Some choose to live only by the “id”s bidding and never realize the destruction they leave behind when seeking their pleasures. I have been through that lifestyle once, and as much as I enjoyed such pleasures in bountiful amounts….the aftershock of those actions can still be felt today.
This piece is based on how much we base our decisions off of love. Not condemning it, but rather it intrigues me what those will do in the name of love. Many people have died for love, have fought for love, and have sacrificed for love. It’s a powerful feeling that enslaves us, causing us to react in ways we may not deem normal in a clear state of mind, but like they say, Love is intoxicating. 2nd traditional piece I’ve ever attempted with acrylics. It was (key word, was, because it was sold lol)a 18×24 inch stretched canvas with acrylics and india ink. I miss this piece dearly, but at least I have a wonderful jpeg of it’s remains.

The Choice / Love should never be a choice. While man attempts to recreate his universe through science, emulating God, or the First creation; at the core, each of us struggles with daily choices that seem to eclipse the math and science pulsing through a network of logic. Are choices of the heart logical or divinely inspired, impetuous or practical, or do these rather define constraints of the mind? Should the heart always win over the thought process, or does one inform the other? By our divine nature, women have a choice, to follow our heart, head, will, or spirit. Wrong or right, we exercise it. I’m listening… listening to the dreams. Digital Fine Art, influenced by the Romantic and Arts and Crafts styles. F.A. Moore, June 17, 2009. Features 2009-09-23 The Choice in The Divine Feminine Suggestions: great notecard to a lover At some point, I will paint this; and the description will be separated from the piece. It would please me, then, if when men viewed this, they though the “Choice” was theirs! Wouldn’t this be typical of human nature and especially (saying this from the woman’s perspective) typical of men. / But for now, the description stays, definitive as it is, of my thoroughly female viewpoint.
