I believe we’ve all eaten from this tree, at some time or another.. / / Mixture of digital art + several actual photos. / Work time: 4 or 5 hours (using the magnetic lasso tool in CS3 on / and around every tree branch, then cleaning them up with the eraser +blur) very intricate work. Same thing with the hearts.. /

Oh man I’ve been dying to work on one of my illustrations lately. In between all the experimenting with my video art and everything involved with my Uni major project, it feels really good to sit down and work on one of these. / The title comes from the lyrics in a song called Unstoppable by Mako, written by Declan O’Shea. The song is one of my all time favorites, beautifully written with a strong emotive undertow that carries through the track. / My thanks to Declan for writing such a great song. It’s very inspiring to me.

Hi everyone I’m back again – hope you missed me as much as I missed you all! I’ve been on a very steep learning curve with my new Apple Imac but I finally managed to download apophysis and get it working on here (much trickier than on windows unfortunately)! I created this cyborg bee for my Eros project I remember at the time I was listening to Tori Amos’ Beekeeper album, it’s where I got the idea to depict Eros attacked by bees in the first place. Since then, it’s one of my favorite artworks I’ve ever done. It was created entirely in Photoshop, all textures and shadows included.
