Its an attempt to portray Britney Spears recent experience as if she were telling it. Beyond the shadows of the paparazzi is a trail of blurred images representing the consuming of her soul. The globe above her head is a symbol of her connection with the world as a celebrity and the burden she carries as it turns. She is portrayed dull and lifeless as lightening green strings attached to her and the paparazzi lead to her ex husband Kevin. He is the pupeteer in her life. The flames represent his anger and the green mist his jealousy of her status. Above his shoulders are their children locked away from Britney.

I always like to make a digital layout (or photo collage) of our digi days out, and this is the one I compiled from pix taken last evening at Port Willunga. Thanks to Paul Tho for the marvelous group shot!!

This was shot with a digital camera and Holga lens. You can see the difference in the blur around the edges, and the way it deals with the specular highlights. Not a lensbaby shot, but still part of the series LENSBABY BRISBANE CITY SERIES

I posted this in the forums but I thought I’d journal about this too. Just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for taking pictures of fireworks? My balcony pretty much has front row seats to Washington DC’s 4th of July (our independence day) fireworks show. I’ve been the past couple years but as a tourist, not as a photographer. Any tips are greatly appreciated!! I’ll probably have 2 cameras going, a nikon D70 and a canon AE-1. The former being a digital with an IR remote and the later having a cable release with fujichrome 100 slide film. This is going to be only the 4th or 5th roll of slide film I’ve shot, so I’m kind of nervous about this!! I read somewhere that you can capture multiple busts in one image if you keep the shutter open and put a black sheet of paper in front of the lens during the down time and remove the paper when the actions happens. Any other tips? Thanks!
