A Black-chinned hummingbird nectar feeding in Patagonia, Arizona. Perhaps one of the world’s finest places to visit and witness spectacular bird migration, one can see up to 13 different species of hummingbird there alone during the peak of bird migration annually. /

Just one sheet makes a big difference; / One sheet that can make over 2000 cranes. / Each crane a step closer to a better world; / Each piece a step closer to peace. Each square in the grid paper is 5×5mm; and to be exact, there were 2028 full squares in the paper When I was in grade 5 our teacher read “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes” to our class. Sadako Sasaki was infected with leukemia. She spent her days folding cranes and making wishes upon them; wishing for her health and for a more peaceful world (the quote above is my writing inspired by the story of the thousand paper cranes). I had difficulty photographing this; and am not fully satisfied with the end result, but I suppose this is the best I can do with my camera (I’m satisfied with the origami though!) I hope everyone likes the idea anyhow. For me it’s always more about the origami than the photography skills. This piece has been included among RB’s featured pages, and in the following groups: / Inspired Art / _Winner of The Challenge For a better idea of scale: / / More Sample Origami:
I used the common colour pencils to depict having the courage to be different and break out. I used a very short depth of field on this shot to focus on the red pencil and bring a 3-D effect to the shot. I hold this shot very close to heart- the only shot I submitted to a competition and sailed through to the finals :). The theme was…’breakout’, of course!
Meet Mo. He is a little squirrel who loves the quiet of the darkness. He loves making wishes and shooting them into the sky towards the twinkling stars! Will his wishes all come true? This is a print of an original illustration that I did with ink and digitally colored. Mo and Teeny are two little squirrels that live in my head….they had to come out eventually! Mo is available for limited prints and cards. Thanks for looking! ~Shelli xoxo / More of my work is available here: www.dazeychic.etsy.com

A splash frozen in time. A cherry dropped into a glass of water breaks an infra red beam, triggering a high speed flash. An exposure time of 1/30,000s captures every detail.
This piece was a drawing done in ink. It was originally for a dinner party invite and when I saw how nice the sketch came out I used it for prints! It has been digitally enhanced with color and text. The words are in Italian and loosely mean “Dinner Party” with the time and date. / This print is available as a greeting card or a canvas print…both of which you can frame easily! Thanks for looking! Looking at these three different colored roses reminds me that we are all different-yet all the same. Each is special!
“DARE TO BE DIFFERENT” makes the perfect gift for the independent individual in your life. Could that be you? The image features a photograph of a real White Raven (also known as a “Spirit Raven” by local Haida people) born in May, 2008 on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. He is one of two rare white and 3 black Ravens born to 2 accepting (black) parents. The two rare birds are not albino which is what makes them so unusual. Their eyes are quite blue. All 5 siblings are getting along extremely well and all are thriving. White Ravens are very rare and hold sacred meaning for many groups and cultures throughout the World, including Native American Indian, Celtic, Norse and Wiccans. This artwork is another tribute to these remarkably intelligent and friendly birds. 50% proceeds from all sales go to the Mountainaire Avian Society in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.
Alice found her wants and needs change rapidly when she was ripped from her printed childrens book, then scanned onto a computer and put through all these weird filters. / All of sudden, she didn’t want to play with the small furry animals anymore… she wanted to stab the small furry animals. / Well… that’s progress. Something different for me… public domain images with filters…weird shit. I changed the original wording & spelling to stop confusion, it was a bad play on words. / After a hundred attempts i think I got the black version looking half ok / Super sexy model: Ange
The traditional classic chinese word “ai” (love) consist of the word “xing” (heart) at its core. “Ai Xing” in mandarin means “loving heart”. I have simply highlighted the core word “xing” in red to show the meaning of loving heart. “While some simplified characters were adopted from conventional abbreviated forms that have existed for a long time, the vast majority of the changes made by PRC were “unnatural” such as the removal of the symbol for heart (心) from the word love (愛) into the new character (爱).” (Wikipedia) This word is hand-written by me (using a wacom pen & tablet). This t-shirt design is currently only available from RB. All profits from the sale of this t-shirt will go towards these 3 non-profit organisations which I have been supporting: I am currently sponsoring a little girl from India so the money collected from the sale of this tee will go towards this fund or other non-profit organisations which I support. The title gives the key to the two points of reference in the creation of this one. The original photo was taken in the Jenolan Caves and then I used “Difference” in photohop as the very very final step to create this.
