  • This is another of the flowers from my show and poems for her. I chose to be my own man and think with my own brain. / I find it hard when we fall in line and let others do our thinking. / I don’t need to be in a gang with people full of hate. / And I refuse to be told what to do by someone who is crazy. / My life is but a short one and I plan to get the most from it every single day. / And finding reasons to hate someone is not the way for me. / What’s hate got to do with the human race when love is so much better. / I would rather give a hug to someone who’s different, / than to throw a rock at their head because I am full of hate. / When will we learn that hates has always been the devil and we need to try to find away to send him back to hell.

  • Experiment with metallic blue paper and using my flash…

  • Another experiment with metallic blue paper as a background and the flash on my camera… haha, I guess it worked well. I never use my flash, so that’s why this is so experimental, hehe. It’s also the stamen of a hibiscus.

  • I was washing dishes one day, when I noticed a tiny bubble land on the mum plant in my plant window… I had only enough time to dry my hands, run to get my camera and take 5 shots, haha.

  • “DARE TO BE DIFFERENT” makes the perfect gift for the independent individual in your life. Could that be you? The image features a photograph of a real White Raven (also known as a “Spirit Raven” by local Haida people) born in May, 2008 on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. He is one of two rare white and 3 black Ravens born to 2 accepting (black) parents. The two rare birds are not albino which is what makes them so unusual. Their eyes are quite blue. All 5 siblings are getting along extremely well and all are thriving. White Ravens are very rare and hold sacred meaning for many groups and cultures throughout the World, including Native American Indian, Celtic, Norse and Wiccans. This artwork is another tribute to these remarkably intelligent and friendly birds. 50% proceeds from all sales go to the Mountainaire Avian Society in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

  • Second in a series featuring the color blue…

  • Don’t eat them… haha…. This is growing in my front yard, but I have no idea what kind of tree it is. It has pretty blossoms in the spring though. Enjoy!

  • These are the same roses from Valentine’s Day with the velvetly petals. I adjusted the white balance on my camera before shooting to give it a bluish tone. It looks like crushed eyeshadow to me…:D Shot with a sigma 105mm macro, indoors with flash. Enjoy!
