Meet Mo. He is a little squirrel who loves the quiet of the darkness. He loves making wishes and shooting them into the sky towards the twinkling stars! Will his wishes all come true? This is a print of an original illustration that I did with ink and digitally colored. Mo and Teeny are two little squirrels that live in my head….they had to come out eventually! Mo is available for limited prints and cards. Thanks for looking! ~Shelli xoxo / More of my work is available here: www.dazeychic.etsy.com
I used the common colour pencils to depict having the courage to be different and break out. I used a very short depth of field on this shot to focus on the red pencil and bring a 3-D effect to the shot. I hold this shot very close to heart- the only shot I submitted to a competition and sailed through to the finals :). The theme was…’breakout’, of course!
A Black-chinned hummingbird nectar feeding in Patagonia, Arizona. Perhaps one of the world’s finest places to visit and witness spectacular bird migration, one can see up to 13 different species of hummingbird there alone during the peak of bird migration annually. /
A splash frozen in time. A cherry dropped into a glass of water breaks an infra red beam, triggering a high speed flash. An exposure time of 1/30,000s captures every detail.
A super-doodle. So, so childish, yes?

“DARE TO BE DIFFERENT” makes the perfect gift for the independent individual in your life. Could that be you? The image features a photograph of a real White Raven (also known as a “Spirit Raven” by local Haida people) born in May, 2008 on Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. He is one of two rare white and 3 black Ravens born to 2 accepting (black) parents. The two rare birds are not albino which is what makes them so unusual. Their eyes are quite blue. All 5 siblings are getting along extremely well and all are thriving. White Ravens are very rare and hold sacred meaning for many groups and cultures throughout the World, including Native American Indian, Celtic, Norse and Wiccans. This artwork is another tribute to these remarkably intelligent and friendly birds. 50% proceeds from all sales go to the Mountainaire Avian Society in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. You may have noticed some changes around the site as a result of a few features we’ve recently released. One of the core facets of the Redbubble site is the work that all of the artists in the community upload and display. Over the past few months, there has been a steady increase in the quantity of work being uploaded and it has started to stress some of the foundations of the Redbubble system. Some of our users will have experienced the side effects of this in their efforts to share their work with the community, and this was not lost on us. In answer to this challenge, we’ve drastically re-engineered the upload mechanics: the lion’s share of these changes will be hidden from users, but there are some notable differences to the way you add work. One of the biggest changes is that files uploaded are sent to a completely separate component of the Redbubble site, which means that the processing and storing of these images does not impact the load of the main servers – the upshot of this is that we have more room in the rest of the site. A more noticable change is to the workflow of adding image based work. One reality of the Internet is that uploading a 50MB file takes significantly longer than the time it takes for you to send your username and password for a login screen. This length of time begins to feel even longer when you have no ability to see how far through the upload you are. As part of the recent round of changes, we’ve added a Flash-based uploader which incorporates a progress bar, allowing you to see how much of the file has been transferred. Another benefit is that while the upload takes place, you are free to edit the details of your work, streamlining the process somewhat. Users without a Flash plugin will still have the ability to add work, but won’t see a progress bar. We hope you enjoy the new changes and that they make your life a little easier, and we certainly encourage you to take advantage of them – we’re now prepared to handle everything that you’ve got to share! featured in Abstract Art 11-13-2009 I am getting alot of questions about the rendering time of Incendia! It’s important to know it’s never done so don’t wait for it to finish, you have to stop and check for the detail regularly and save it when you are satisfied with the amount of detail showing! Here’s a little collage, a detail of a very large file, rendered in Incendia 1.3 the first is after a couple hours of rendering, the second after a day, the third after two days and the fourth after three days, as you can see the detail gets more clear all the time. Hope this helps a bit! The new Incendia 1.3 is now available to the public, please check it out and give it a try and if you like it make a donation to get the HighRez version, you won’t regret it, it is BRILLIANT!! Wishing you all a fabulous and creative week! KUS! daisy~’*-
