BEST VIEWED LARGER Berrys Bay is located on the Northern shore of Sydney Harbour . The harbour has many bays and tributaries. Berrys Bay /Balls Head Reserve can be reached by train from the city, you alight at Waverton Railway Station. The former BP Berry’s Bay bulk fuel storage and distribution terminal is located on the cliffs and foreshore area of Balls Head/Waverton Peninsula approximately 1.6 km northwest of the Sydney CBD. The site was operated by BP Australia as a fuel storage and distribution facility from the early 1920s. BP’s operations ceased in 1993 and the tanks were demolished in the mid 1990s. Premier Bob Carr announced in 1997 that this site, together with the Coal Loader and Caltex Sites on the other side of the peninsula would be preserved as Public Open Space It now has been returned to the public, as part of Sydney Harbour National Park, as you can see it is a magical site with wonderful panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge , Sydney Opera House (you can see under the bridge) the Sydney Skyline. Thank god governments make some good decisions returning open spaces to the people not the Developers. This image was photographed at the waterfront in the OLD TOWN of DUBROVNIK/CROATIA Judged by Tuck Leong at Melbourne Camera Club/open EDI/Highly Commended Death in Dubrovnik…............ well WHAT did happen to…..........BRITT LAPTHORNE this title has to do with the complexities of a missing girl…..... For those who live outside Australia you maybe interested to know that BRITT LAPTHORNE/ 21-year-old Melbourne woman went missing from a nightclub in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik on September 18. Her body was found many days later washed up near rocks not far from the city centre. Last year I was fortunate enough to visit this wonderful city of DUBROVNIK…...........I felt I had found paradise and had been told this was a most magical place to take photographs. And yes/ I had found paradise and started to wonder about the war here in ‘91 /Death in Dubrovnik…...and then I started to think about this beautiful young woman taken tragically away from her family. I walked the streets of the Old City and surrounds for nearly a week.The more I thought about her the more I wanted to find out about her and so sat in a local internet cafe and tried to read as much as possible about her. So this only made me think more about this young woman and how her family must have felt at the time .So then as I walked the streets every crack in the old walls /every crack in the pavement I photographed /I asked myself did she walk this way….........did she see the beauty I was seeing….... / This image was taken in Dubrovnok and is of the Fuego Latino Club where BRITT LAPTHORNE visited the night she died……..........well some locals say she did visit the club and some say she didn’t! These images were taken from a 4th fl. balcony overlooking the nightclub. I watched for about 15 minutes. It would be impossible for this young woman’s exit from the nightclub to go undetected by the camera. I wonder why Britt’s parents could not see their daughter exit the club when they watched the film footage from that night…...... / this image was taken at the small port in the OLD TOWN of Dubrovnik/this image is not meant to offend but something did happen to this young woman…...... .............sometimes we don’t know what we’re looking for….......this image was taken at a hotel on the outskirts of Dubrovnik.The puzzle and anguish of this mystery can be too much for a family to experience…......... I’m going to tell you what’s on my mind! / looking for answers

What did you want as you walked with me as I held your hand in mine? / What did you think that I would be as I held your hand in mine? / What did you hope for as we strolled along walking hand in hand? / What was this special look that you gave me as you start to smile? / What was that little sparkle in your eyes as you said that you were mine? / What was it that you wanted from me the first time that we met? / You never say a word about what you did expect. / What was it that you whispered in my ear last night? / As I pushed deeply in your body as you held me very tight! / What were those little words that came so fast so swift as we made love last night? / Like little smiles and special kisses and just a soft kind touch. / What was it that you expected from me as you held my hand? / I think you wanted someone there who understood your dreams. / Someone who would take the time to hold you close and dear. / Someone to say your everything that I’ll ever need. / And even when we’ve had a fight you’ll still be all I need. / I think you wanted someone to love and be there for all time. / I think you wanted someone who would stand there by your side. / I think you wanted this man to say all the things that make you smile. / And what was that that you said to me as we made love last night? / After all these years we’ve been together and through all the little storms. / I smile to think you can say these words after all these years. / Well I can say them very clear I feel them in my heart I’ll repeat exactly what you said as you held me close last night. / You whispered in my ear my wife these words I hold so dear….. / “My love for you will never stop until my dying days”. / What was it that you wanted as you held my hand that first day? / It looks to me that all you wanted….............. was me.

A a nice little curl on a sugar peas plant. Post-processing: / Adjusted the contrast and white balance a bit in camera raw. Adjusted the curves, added a black and white layer with a light green tint set to soft light (100%) and a black and white layer set to normal (14%). Made a slight crop.

For those who live outside Australia you maybe interested to know that BRITT LAPTHORNE/ 21-year-old Melbourne woman went missing from a nightclub in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik on September 18. Her body was found many days later washed up near rocks not far from the city centre. At the end of last year I was fortunate enough to visit this wonderful city of DUBROVNIK…...........I felt I had found paradise and had been told this was a most magical place to take photographs. A slightly confused trolley across the bay from the San Francisco city. This thing was missing a wheel and rusty as hell. Shot around 7:50 pm before the sun had gone down, a little experiment with my new ND400 Filter :) If you look extremely carefully the golden gate is on the horizon engulfed in the infamous fog that rolls in every single bloody day… / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. FL: 20mm 20 seconds @ f22, ISO 100 ND8 Graduated Filter and Hoya ND400 HMC Filter Adobe Lightroom 2
