“And I say unto you, squander not your time in the gaming houses and the bars. Beware the Devil’s Dice my friend, and their firey tails from Hell. Resist their ivory temptation, for you can never win at Satan’s Chance. I stand before you and declare: the Devil’s work is everywhere.” (A. It’s all a cube world All My Series: /
A mixed media on canvas that unfolded over a period of 12 months and recently came together as this, rather unusual piece of work that incorporates a variety of mediums including collage, acrylic, gesso, sand, inks and guache… pretty much anything that I wanted. I guess the theme remained one of experimentation and my attitude stayed playful and open to where the painting wanted to lead me. Most of my work, particularly my abstracts, are intuitive, there is no prior thought process or decision on what I want to create and I let the work take me on a path rather than me moulding it from the early stages. Perhaps this is why this painting unfolded as a game, and on a slightly more deeper level, is about the games we play and the gambles we take in our lives. Please follow me ... oh, and one last point of interest. Some of you have already commented or favourited the previous versions of this painting, guess it goes to show how much our work can change in a short space of time. Pretty exciting to watch this journey as I enter my 3rd year of painting. Have a happy day and thanks for looking : ) LARGE SCALE VIEWING IS RECOMMENDED
All those old forgotten promises and plans…...........................
I put the phrase on the top and bottom of the picture to show how much some people can get involved in music, letting it take over their lives and actions. like when something bad happens on the news, and they use music or musicians to put the blame on… i guess it was kinda my answer to that. The pose of the woman was based on patricia from the horrorpops – one of my fav bands. if you look on the cover of their album ‘hell yea’ then you can see where the inspiration came from. —-—-—-——- Thank You For Viewing / Original By Emma Black / Do Not Use Without Permission

Take at 1/50 sec exposure! MY BUBBLESITE
This T-shirt is all about a persons style and how they act.
this image is similar to quite a few drawings i’ve done in the past that i will hopefully soon put up. It features a city, feather trees, power lines, factory, train track, house etc. all on the one big ball of chance.
Life’s a gamble!
A small acrylic painting with my usual collage-stuff going on. It was for an Friday the 13th themed show, hence the “unlucky” imagery. Hope you enjoy it :)
