Ἄρτεμις: Muse, sing of Artemis, sister of the Far-shooter, the virgin who delights in arrows, who was fostered with Apollo. She waters her horses from Meles deep in reeds, and swiftly drives her all-golden chariot through Smyrna to vine-clad Claros where Apollo, god of the silver bow, sits waiting for the far-shooting goddess who delights in arrows. / —Homeric Hymn to Artemis 9.1–10 More Olympians

Dodi Al-Fayed (Born 15 April 1955) . In this fine art painting of King Dodi who lives for ever. I lovingly call him King for his great virtues such as great human being with great humility , generosity to friends, family and supporting under privileged ones. You are the star in the sky so bright and so lovely. We still feel you among us.

Four Sacred Gods at Ramses’ s Abu Simbel – Sun Temple – 1250 BC – Egypt / The Fine art shows the Statues of the four main universal gods Ra, Amun, Ptah and Ramses II to whom the temple is dedicated. These statues are situated inside 200 feet into the temple. The orientation of the temple lay out is very special in such a manner that the rays of the rising Sun would light up the statues of these four Gods twice a year . The Solstice’s occurrence commemorates the Ramsees II’ ascension to the throne 22nd February and his birth date which is 22 October. / Crowds from world over pack into the chapel before the dawn breaks and watch the shafts of light slowly creep 200 feet inside the temple to eventually illuminate the statues in an awe-inspiring display. Coincidentally, all but the statue of Ptah is lit up in golden rays, as per legend Ptah was a after all a god of darkness. The celebrations start as crowd participates in music , dancing , eating after witnessing this extraordinary natural splendor out side the temple in front of the Another 4 Colossal 108 feet sandstone statues of Ramses II situated in front of the Temple.

This is a favorite of mine. It was captured while I was photographing the NTTA. I got many good shots that day, but really like this one, and not sure why. I think its witnessing the cycles of life for a sunflower. All at the same time, one is passing, another is maturing, while new life developes as well.

This started out as a photograph of a statue I have. I then used Photoshop to remove the background colors, followed by boosting the contrast, and then using threshold filter to turn it into a stark B&W image. It was then imported into a Font Glyph creator, and turned into a font. The reason for this was to be able to make the image large without blurring the outline. I then selected it to be a white font. /

My Entry In the PhotoShop Masters Group – Diana Calvario
by Diana CalvarioCatcher in the storm *1: Tell me something about the image…
Catcher in the storm 1: Tell me something about the image? / I wanted to create a very specific autumn atmosphere with some movement in it. For the title I was influenced by the title of a book named “Catcher in the rye” a novel by J. D. Salinger. / / 2: How did you create it? / I started looking for some nice looking autumn leaves and a hand trying to catch them while the wind was blowing them through the air. The background clouds and the whole image was given a final touch by coloring it with autumn colors using the hue/saturation function. 3: What version of PhotoShop did you use? / Photoshop CS2 4: Any tips or tricks you would like to Share? / Well, let me see … I don’t really work with a lot of tricks and really great special effects. I focus more on the “keep it simple but neat” effect. Too much objects and movements in a photomanipulation can distract you from the main focus. 5: How did you go about learning PhotoShop? / It was mainly self taught but I had to learn it for my work since I create webpages and work as a webmaster. Fertility Goddess. Moon Goddess. Huntress Goddess. Triple Goddess- Lunar Virgin, Mother of Creatures, the Huntress or Destroyer. Goddess of nature, fertility, childbirth, wildwood, moon, forests, animals, mountains, woods, and women. Goddess of the hunt. In Roman art Diana usually appears as a huntress with bow and arrow, along with a hunting dog or a stag. Both a virgin goddess and an earth goddess, she was identified with the Greek Artemis. She is praised for her strength, athletic grace, beauty and her hunting skills. With two other deities she made up a trinity: Egeria the water nymph (her servant and assistant midwife), and Virbius (the woodland god). Originated from the Greek goddess Artemis.
