  • I picked out these roses for my father to give my mother for Valentine’s Day. They’re such a deep red color and the petals are velvety…almost black. I love those type of roses. I used a really low white balance when I shot this to give it a more bluish tone. Enjoy!

  • These are the same roses from Valentine’s Day with the velvetly petals. I adjusted the white balance on my camera before shooting to give it a bluish tone. It looks like crushed eyeshadow to me…:D Shot with a sigma 105mm macro, indoors with flash. Enjoy!

  • a wonderful photo of rose with dew drops very early in the morning… / taken in dehradun india

  • Red rose in the morning with raindrops. Hurry and pick it before the sun dries the velvety petals! Roses seem to age, every minute that they are on the bush. Early morning is the first blush of youth. You may be lucky to have dew or raindrops and a beautiful smell, but by the time 10 am arrives that rose is well on it’s way to being full blown and the raindrops are gone. So pick them early and enjoy the smell, when winter arrives you will want to remember this glorious experience! Image taken in my garden in Shady Cove, Oregon
