Just between us, you needn’t bother lugging around the slightest concern that my tale of demotion to flesh peddler may not have “legs” (showbiz term that means “shelf life,” which is a food industry term best defined as “legs”). Take heart – there’s always a fresh field of battle just over the horizon. In other words, today’s blunder is tomorrow’s installment. If I might get all metaphysical for a moment – I now know, in my heart of heart, that there is one Universal Truth and one truth only and I’m going to reveal it now – get closer to your monitor – good… It is this - Your correspondent could, you should excuse the expression, fuck up a free meal. That’s the whole deal – the emmis, as the Inuit of Northern Alaska would say (if they spoke Yiddish). Who needs not necessarily naked models? There’s always something.

I receive a daily devotional from Dr. Charles Stanley every morning. He is a pastor here in Georgia (First Baptist Church Atlanta) and is reconized nationally. I feel lead to share the devotion I received today and possible will post one everyday. If you are offended by these simply do not read them they are clearly marked “devotional”. I do however encourage you to read these with open heart and receive the message that our Lord has in store for us today. September 17, 2008 / A Loving God and Eternity / Matthew 25:31-46 The Scriptures clearly speak of existence after death—people will spend eternity in either heaven or hell. Yet many individuals consider this truth inconsistent with other facts about the Lord. While their objections are understandable, the Bible provides the answers to their questions: How can the Lord be good if He lets some people spend their afterlife in hell? God is love (1 John 4:8) and doesn’t want anyone to live without Him (1 Tim. 2:4). Everyone can turn from sin and receive the Savior, thereby avoiding eternal separation from Him. But some reject Christ and live apart from Him all their days. They will continue to exist apart from His presence throughout eternity. Why would the Lord create certain individuals, knowing they would never turn to Him? To some, this seems unloving. Yet the alternative would be worse. He created us with free will—we can choose to obey and follow Him. If our Father gave us no choice, we’d be mere robots, unable to truly respond, love, and worship. An endless penalty seems unfair, particularly if non-Christians never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. As long as unbelievers are alive, the heavenly Father does everything He can to keep them from eternal punishment—except to violate their free will. He gives enough time and evidence so that nobody has a valid excuse for rejecting the one path to salvation (Rom. 1:20; John 14:6). Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? He wants you to spend eternity with Him. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ / again I did not write this it is a devotional from Dr. Charles Stanley and I was lead to share this with you all If you enjoyed the devotional and would like to recieve them in your personal email you can sign up for it at crossdaily.com May God bless you and keep you through the renewing of your hearts and mind daily through your walk with Him. You best believe it honey… I love you so damn much! / Just hang on; the time for us to embrace, / Is just around the corner; / Then I’ll hold you for a while. / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! Big plans are still to be put in place; / Trust me; I don’t say this to just anyone. / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! We will have our days, my love; / Filled with love, laughter, tears and pain. / Patience, peace and silent understanding will forever remain. / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! You’re all I care about in this crazy world, that’ll never change! / You mean so much to me. / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! I’ve got to say what I feel, otherwise I’ll burst! / I can’t help myself, you fill me up ‘till I overflow. / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! I need to keep you grounded for a while, / I don’t want you flitting away; / Before I have a chance to embrace and hold you, forever more! / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! Soon you’ll be flying, my love, but for now; / You need to stop and stand still. / Take a deep breath and smile my baby, / For you, my love… I’ll do anything! For you, my love… I’ll do anything!

Someday Someday… on a clear, still, moonlit night; / To the beach, is where we’ll go. / With a blanket and hot chocolate already packed; / Walk, hand in hand, on soft, warm sand; / Down to the water’s edge, where we’ll dance awhile; / Oh, to hold you close and whisper in your ear; / Those three words you’ve longed to hear. / Brush aside the hair which hides your face; / See a smile grow and laughter kiss your lips; / Then sit with you ‘til dawn‘s early light; / Your hand in my left, hot chocolate in my right. / Precious moments, dreams and memories; / Someday… with you, I want to share.

Devoted pet owner?

Loki likes to snuggle with his head on my shoulder just under my jaw. When he was itty bitty, this was no problem. He has gotten longer and heavier, and holding him up like that gets the biceps complaining after 20 minutes. Did I mention how much he likes to snuggle? Since keeping his activity level as low as possible is one of the key things to let the leg finish healing and stopping the seroma from building up (it’s due to irritation of the tissues because of the scarring. It should stop… sooner or later) I had to come up with a way to keep him content and still. So, I rummaged through my trunk of fabric, found a rectangle of panne velvet, and made a ‘kitten sling’ to wear. He comes up for his snuggle, I pull one of the sides of the sling up and over him, and he rests there for 20 mins to an hour, leaving my hands free, and able to get things done. Snuggle Purrrrrrr

As of yesterday, and this morning, I have committed myself to rise each day before the sun (around 0530 or so) and conduct a personal Biblical Scripture study, along with prayer and fasting until about 1400. I project that this will continue for about six months, although I am not certain. I thought I would include my notes and written prayers, as well as the excerpted Scripture studied, on this website as a safeguard to losing them. Journals made of paper tend to wear over time. I will not make these sessions viewable, but if anyone reads this entry and is interested in receiving them through Bmail or otherwise, please do not hesitate to ask. Also, if there are any details you would like to know about anything unclear, I will not hold things back from you. The less I hide, the less inclined I will be to act in secret later. I have decided to begin this devotional regimen through the advice of friends, as well as my own determination to grow in character. It is a Scripturally sound method of acquiring direction to pray and fast for a season. As I have recently relocated, I feel that priority must go first to the health of my relationship with God, then elsewhere – I have many decisions to make about housing, employment, and rebuilding old friendships. There can be no better method of acquiring discernment than by asking the guy in charge what’s best. We’ll see just what He has to say. Up to this point, it has not been little. Please know that while none of this may interest you, you are still serving me in becoming aware – it keeps me accountable to know that somebody else knows what I’m doing and could call me on it without warning. Thanks!

Inspired by DEVOTED TO ROPE by DarkHotel2
by writeimage The day at the remote location had quickly progressed…
image The day at the remote location had quickly progressed into an unspoken understanding; the car had been parked at a distance perhaps to keep civilization at bay. Her appetite for him was a force she was still reckoning with… It was growing dark, she had been brutal, they didn’t even mention the thought of returning home. There was a savage earthly expectation that hung in the air. The fire gave off an amber hue keeping the blue gray that was descending at bay. She had noticed the tears fall from his face, not the tears of a coward, tears of release and acceptance. Her hands plunged into the water that had been warmed – perfect. Carrying the large pot over to him she removed the blanket he was wearing and plucked the debris from his back, a small stone had lodged just beneath the skin, gently she teased it out with her finger nail. The cold air embraced his back, he tried not to shudder. The warm wet cloth slopped onto his skin, the last light left and as she washed him he smiled…they were staying the night. Thank you to DarkHotel2 for your sharing your vision.
