A shady character in the style of graphic novels, with a 1930’s feel about it. Available in any colour you like… so long as it’s black!
Model is Tim Driver, Australian Actor and Screenwriter. Originally, this shoot was just going to be for his portfolio. We were just playing around with some different outfits, and I decided I wanted him to pretend he was in a crime film. So here’s the result! One of my favourite photos!
Oil on Canvas Board / Okay, lots of my love life coming up here. Frankly, I confess to enjoying this. / A painting of fantastic Swede NY city detective and me. Seems we were always tearing each other’s clothes off. I did this painting/sketch with about the same speed. / I’ll never forget his fabulous shoulders, but I’ll be damned if I can remember his name. / Cops, detectives, agents…all great lovers and lousy dates. They never show up on time, you can never get them on the phone, you have to feed them – they’ve never eaten a meal always hungry and don’t have the time for restaurants; they have a thousand women in every port, rarely stay for breakfast, sometimes show up with flowers, and they lie a lot. But there is some magic in watching a man get undressed, shirt, pants…and guns…that is just way cool. There’s an odd aloofness in these men that comes from doing dangerous work that can hurt, if it weren’t all so fascinating. A breed apart.
Self-Portrait
No camera tricks here..He was actually holding the glass up to his eye.
Hercule Poirot is the famous Belgian detective created by Agatha Christie. I’m thinking of making a shirt that says something about the “little grey cells” next. :)
Inspired by Raymond Chandler detective novels: “I saw her leave her apartment, easy on the eyes, all right, and all the right curves in all the right places, and she spotted me; she’s still steamed about being protected, they all are until they really need it. Even so, she put a little extra shimmy in her walk – reminded me of two kittens wrestling under a blanket – on this case the clues were getting harder to find than a black candle at midnight…” / (this whole scene came from a phrase I read somewhere ages ago, the kittens wrestling isn’t mine, and grew into this image…)
I could tell this thing was getting serious. /

Special request. A quirky, humorous cupcake depicting a crime scene with police tape DO NOT CROSS across it. Perfect for those sweet-toothed fans of detective or crime scene investigation stories!
I’m going to make you a deal but its okay if you refuse it. /
Caricature of a mob boss in his swanky pin-striped suit, machine gun in one hand and ordering you over with the other. It’s just not possible to say No! He’s just one in a series of characters perfect for a Murder Mystery dinner or party, or for anyone who loves whodunnits and criminal characters.

Detective Nit (Blue Man) and his partner Meps (Mechanical Employee of Police Squad) have tracked down the evil assassin robot Pique and her assistant, one of the ambiguous Grey Men, and foiled their bomb plot, thanks in part to Meps alert identification of Pique from an earlier encounter . In moments they will be in custody, but at the cost of Detective Nit’s ride… well, he always hated that car. / (No robots were injured in the making of this film)
first time models Jessica and Kian helped nail my first effort at a Film Noir shoot, Aussie style :)
