Acrylic and pastel on illustration paper. (1995) This is truly the first tree I ever painted, the need to paint and create was something brewing so strongly inside I had to do something about it. Yet my resources were very limited, I grabbed the only paint I had any access to, a can of my father’s black spray paint, I sprayed it into the lid of the can and used the only paintbrush I owned a cheep nylon brush from a water color kit and created. I then finished my work with the only two pastels I owned brown and black. / Necessity is the mother of invention, or maybe it’s that there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Sorry cat lovers) At any rate I grew up in a home with very few luxuries but I did have a passion to create, always, I had to feed the creativity. So this is a very special piece to me and I hope to you as well. First Tree is officially published in Artists of West First Tree was Featured in Lifestyles Magazine as part of an article about the Artists of the West coffee table book. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

For me summer holiday memories are all about bare feet, the sea, the smell of aerogard and barbeques, and long days and warm nights often spent in a caravan park by the ocean. This piece is about all of that, but I also wanted to infuse it with a bit of darkness and mystery …Holiday villages are so full of life and colourful characters by day, but at night when all have gone to bed and secured their temporary little homes, they can be quite strange and creepy…

...am still feeling mystical& enchanted today …..sweet Sally Omar .. wrote this wonderful poem for this painting…MOONRIVER by Sally Omar.. / i come to the river’s edge / the moon is aglow / watching it cast highlights / on the river below / bright shining streaks / on the water’s edge shimmer / my heart palpitates / at the beautiful glimmer / the sound of the ripples / is all that i hear / i feel so close to God / know He is near / the water flows / like a beautiful melody / i know now / He is standing close to me / i feel warmth / in the water’s touch / i love standing here / ever so much… / .....inspired by this song moonriver ...a first digital experimental creation ..I took a photo of my painted Cork tree geometrically circled/coloured it then Redfield fractaliussed it lol! then layered /cloned/+ blended it onto a gradient colour background/layered on the photo of the moon I took/added graphics/flooded the next layer about 5 layers? mebbe 6 lol! ...Water in a Changing World…Water will be one of the major environmental issues of the 21st century.
