  • Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Hula Hips is a mixed media production on paper impressed with a canvas texture. I use a combination of ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint. I like to use pastel over the top of acrylic, allowing the acrylic to show through a bit. Hula Hips is a really out there kinda girl, loves life and lives it to the full! A nice happy birthday card this would make :D

  • ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Aloha Blue is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. A lovely hula girl with curves in all the right places and a funky dreadlock ‘do’

  • Sales of this Design? – 4 sales so far :) / ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor ‘I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free.” – Michelangelo Ocean Angel is a mixed media production (ink, charcoal, pastel, acrylics) on canvas textured paper. Ocean Angel is a beautiful mer-angel, a mythical creature from my own imagination….unlike the mermaids who are generally mischievous in folklore, Ocean Angel tends to care :D

  • ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Beach Shed Chic is a mixed media painting using pastels, ink, acrylic and charcal on paper. A real beach inspired cutie….she’s waiting outside the girls’ change rooms in a flirty pose!

  • It had been a horrendous adventure .. adventure? hah … torture it was … left in the desert stumbling through the sand .. . finally I just sat down totally exhausted .. wiped out … oh I knew I knew they’d find me sooner than later yet I was miserable … the night was falling all around me but at least the moon was there to keep me company … a few feet away I saw a twinkling in the sand … blue twinkling … my curiosity brought me to my feet … I could hardly believe my eyes … bending over I picked up what looked to be a necklace … deep blue sapphires … it was then I knew she had been here in this very spot .. couldn’t have been a very long time before me or her necklace would have been buried in the sand … but what could I do? ... just me, tired to the bone, .... at least I knew she was still alive … soon my companions would find me … together we would follow her and I had no doubt we could find her … the necklace would lead the way …. Fractal work done in Sterling2 with texture, contrast and sizing done in Gimp. Best viewed large. SF-09-13-090327-28

  • The city of Newcastle is situated in the state of New South Wales on the East Coast of Australia. It was one of the first major settlements established in the state after Sydney and from it’s earliest years farming and mining were the chief economic activities. It gradually grew into an area with many heavy industries, including a Steelworks, but after the close of the Steelworks many of the industries that manufactured products using its output started to close down or relocate. Tourism, hospitality and the retail sector are responsible for much of the areas economic prosperity and development now. With a very scenic Lake, the Hunter River, farmlands, forests, Wineries and beautiful beaches this city has a lot to offer tourists and people who choose to call it home.
