  • Sales of this Design? – 3 sales so far :) / ‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Whale Dancers is a mixed media production using ink, charcoal, acrylics and pastels, on a canvas textured paper. As the native girls dance, the whales hear the music of their forefathers and surface….just like in the movie ‘Whale Rider’

  • Ribbon Dancer is an ink and pastel drawing on paper. I did this picture in a state of sheer abandonment, purely for the joy of it allowing myself a completely unrestricted moment, and so she was born from the purest beginnings. I touched up the colours in Photoshop to make her as vibrant as can be. Splashes of colour everywhere!

  • Matryoshka Family in the Pink is a pop-art collaboration of some fine art and digital manipulation. The original matryoshka on holiday was created using a mix of media including ink pastel acrylic and charcoal on canvas textured paper. I cut the doll herself out of the painting and gave her a new background in photoshop just repeating the same matryoshka and making smaller replicas of her !

  • Matryoshka Family Purple Day is a pop-art collaboration of some fine art and digital manipulation.

  • ‘Asian Series’ TShirt by Karin Taylor Catch of the Day is a sweet little painting done in mixed media…using ink, acrylic, charcoal and pastels. I had so much fun creating this little character, and dressing her in a fur coat and beanie. She is being drawn along by her dolphin friend and a butterfly has thought to come visit too. Catch of the Day was inspired by a children’s book I used to read to my children when they were little, my brother gave it them. It’s a great story called ‘The Hottest Boy Who Ever Lived’ the illustrations by Kim Gamble I think are awesome. Catch of the Day is also available as a card

  • ‘Friends Series’ TShirt by Karin Taylor One Spring Day is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

  • / / / Dot and Spot is from the ‘Beach’ and ‘Friends’ Series of cards and prints by Karin Taylor. The original painting sold some time ago at a local art prize called the Southern Cross Art & Craft Exhibition in Ballina. It is one of my favourite pieces. Dot and Spot was created on canvas textured paper, using mixed media.

Hello. So, a little history first? Friendship Bike Ride Productions was started in the spring of 2008 as an creative outlet for some friends looking to break into the world of internet stardom. Since everyone else was making money by being an idiot on the internet, we figured, “hell, we’re just the right idiots for that kind of job! ”. Turns out, we were. We took our collective skills in free-style dance as well as “Organics” (which will be explained later) and fine tuned them. We then took a bunch of shots of absinthe and some weird pine-flavored liquor and made “The O.C. Dance Party”. The hours were short and the party was long, but we actually finished it. And it was awesome. So awesome in fact, that we had to take it down from You Tube. But, the demand was too high for such amazing moves, and so we were forced to put it back on the “tube”. We followed up that amazing show with a short clip of a flying dog. Yeah, real over-achievers here. With a debut like that, what comes next? Well, we are heavily into photography and design, so we figured we should start designing things to sell, to make that “paper-paper”, as a Bone Thug once so eloquently put it. We are also beginning to write our first script for an actual film. We have a tentative title of “Killing What Was Already Dead”. Sounds morbid, I know. But it is, so the title fits. It’s basically about a group of friends who realize one of their own, may not be who everyone thinks he is. And no, he isn’t a zombie. Give us a little more credit than that. So, where does that leave us? Well, broke, for starters.. But, we gained a lot of experience as far as dealing with the demands for actual talent these days. We know, we see it too. Bad TV shows, horrible re-made movies, blah blah blah. We won’t do that to ya. We wouldn’t dare. Why? Because we are smarter than those people. And because we have more time on our hands as well. So, look around, buy something, or tell a friend. We have just arrived and we’ll be constantly adding new items and designs and ideas from here on out. Welcome to the Beginning of the Future. This is Friendship Bike Ride Productions. Sincerely, Reid Horton / CEO of Friendship Bike Ride Productions (FBRP)

  • There was no preconceived idea for this, it is purely a creation which developed over a long period of time in a random process. The final image is a gradual transformation through free expression depending on state of mind.
