Aggregration of diferent hued stone, polished, and makes for a beautiful interior design wall decoration piece. This is piece number 1 of a four piece series. The four together make for quite an eye-catching conversation piece for the distinguishing modern home. In my line of work I see many different buildings born from concept through to completion. It is always a joy to watch your vision grow from the bare bones of the structure to the finished building and I am always fascinated by every stage… even at this naked stage. / I had to re-think my last upload for the Challenge Cafe, and I’m kind of glad I did. An unscheduled site visit to a current project and I’m done… / All architectural detailing, interior and furniture design by Paul Tupman. Met the wonderful Deepbluwater in LA, and not only did she organize this whole shoot in my, ‘dream home’ as far as interior design goes, but also modeled for me in the most perfect of ways. Huge thank you for making this concept come alive in such a perfectly designed environment and for such an amazing day! Heartfelt thanks!
I have always been a fan of Escher – his sense of perspective and composition is just amazing. This design is based on his 1953 Lithograph called Relativity that depicts a paradoxical world in which the normal laws of gravity do not apply. I decided to put a twist on this, where the architectural structure is going through a ‘home improvement’ with the people giving it a once over with a coat of paint. Please note that the colour of the paint depends on the colour of shirt the design is placed on. The example below demonstrates what it would look like on a yellow shirt. More zomboy shirts here: /
