Dunsapie Loch lies within Holyrood Park in Edinburgh. Holyrood Park (also called Queen’s Park, and formerly King’s Park) is a royal park in central Edinburgh, Scotland. It has an array of hills, lochs, glens, ridges, basalt cliffs, and patches of whin (gorse) within its 650-acre area. The park is associated with the royal palace of Holyroodhouse, and was formerly a 12th-century royal hunting estate, although it is now publicly accessible. Arthur’s Seat, the highest point in Edinburgh, is at the centre of the park, with the cliffs of Salisbury Crags to the west. There are three lochs; St Margaret’s Loch, Dunsapie Loch, and Duddingston Loch. The ruined St Anthony’s Chapel stands above St Margaret’s Loch. Queen’s Drive is the main route through the Park. Holyrood Park is located to the south-east of the Old Town, at the edge of the city centre. Abbeyhill is to the north, and Duddingston village to the east. The Scottish Parliament is the devolved national, unicameral legislature of Scotland, located in the Holyrood area of the capital Edinburgh. The Parliament, informally referred to as “Holyrood”, is a democratically elected body comprising 129 members known as Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs). Members are elected for four-year terms under the mixed member proportional representation system. The original Parliament of Scotland (or “Estates of Scotland”) was the national legislature of the independent Kingdom of Scotland, and existed from the early 13th century until the Kingdom of Scotland merged with the Kingdom of England under the Acts of Union 1707 to form the Kingdom of Great Britain. As a consequence, the Parliament of Scotland merged with the Parliament of England to form the Parliament of Great Britain, which sat at Westminster in London. Following a referendum in 1997 in which the Scottish people gave their consent, the current Parliament was established by the Scotland Act 1998, which sets out its powers as a devolved legislature. The Act delineates the legislative competence of the Parliament – the areas in which it can make laws – by explicitly specifying powers that are “reserved” to the Parliament of the United Kingdom: all matters that are not explicitly reserved are automatically the responsibility of the Scottish Parliament.The UK Parliament retains the ability to amend the terms of reference of the Scottish Parliament, / and can extend or reduce the areas in which it can make laws. The Palace of Holyroodhouse, or informally Holyrood Palace, founded as a monastery by David I of Scotland in 1128, has served as the principal residence of the Kings and Queens of Scotland since the fifteenth century. The Palace stands in Edinburgh at the bottom of the Royal Mile. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is the official residence in Scotland of Queen Elizabeth II, who spends time at the Palace at the beginning of the summer. The Forth bridge in Queensferry, Scotland. The Forth rail cantilever bridge was opened in 1890 and is still regarded as an engineering marvel. It is internationally recognised as a Scottish landmark. ... open heart-chakra. / The unblocked chakra of the heart stands for love, sympathy, humanity, affection, security, frankness, tolerance and goodness of heart. / Everbody who is able to feel his own chakra of the heart knows it may have very individual colors and forms. My chakra of the heart became purple and white while I created this picture. In reality and internal. My chakra got opened while I created the picture because I was thinking of the people I love while working. If you saw the original photograph I think you would be surprised. It is simply an image of the leaves of red Ti. When one creates Kaleidoscopes with images of flowers and plants, the results are sensual and fascinating.
