Antelope Canyon. This is actually flopped on its side because I like the wave feel it creates this way.
The beautiful lines and patterns of the Wave Rock in Coyote Buttes Wilderness area in Northern Arizona.
Monument Valley Mitten
The Race Track in Death Valley. This is a place you have to experience in person.
Pine Creek, Zion National Park, Utah. My conscious goal with this image was to simplify the composition.
Dusk envelopes Monument Valley in this view of the left and right mitten taken 1/2 an hour after the sun had set. The mauve glow to the twilight sky is what caught mye eye. Editors Pick for Man & Nature Forum on Nature Photographers.net for week of 6-23 to 6-30 2007

Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /
This is an acrylic painting 11” x 14” on cold pressed watercolour paper of Ayres Rock from a distance. Uluru, (Ayres Rock) stands proud in the middle of the Australian Desert with its brilliant red earth. The rock dates back 500 million years. The Australian landscape is such an inspiration. The natural Desert Red sand against the striking Blue sky is amazing Alone in the desert it stands proud and tall / Even from a distance you can hear its call. / Ruler of the sands, ruler of the skies / a sight to behold one of a kind. / ! / FEATURED IN: AUSSIE BUSH PAINTINGS / OUTBACK AUSTRALIA / CREATIVE CARDS
Sedona, Arizona, USA 2008 Was so focussed on getting to this river before sunset , such a rushed hiked that I lost my bearings on the return trip and nearly spent the night out here !! Was rather daunting but incredibly beautiful nonetheless. I now make sure I have plenty of time either way, perhaps I should invest in a compass and a star chart LOL
Wavelike sandstone patterns of an Arizona slot canyon. In many places I had to turn my shoulders sidewise to get through.
The flowing lines and otherworldly colors of an Arizona Slot Canyon
Constant down pours for more than a week have produced some amazing sights around Uluru. Usually bone dry sand and dust is transformed into a tropical garden if only for a short time. Every once in awhile I see something in the viewfinder that just really excites me with the possibilities and this happens to be on of those images. After 4 hours of twisting and turning in the narrow confines of Antellop Canyon I spotted this series of repeating curves and some nice light and the rest is history. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did viewing it in person! Sweeping curves of sandstone each eclipsed by the previous layer withing Antelope Canyon
I hope the title conveys the mysterious feeling that one gets as the light reveals the contours and textures of this beautiful miracle of nature.

Waves of sandstone brought to life by the light within Antelope Canyon
There’s a place I love to play…a place so bizarre…where giant trees grow in holes, the size of buildings, bored into the rock. How these holes are formed is such a mystery to me. No cliffs above them, no walls surrounding them…just gently rolling mounds of sandstone.
My wife had cordially begun the hike back, allowing me to linger at The Wave. Looking over the shoulder of Wave, the darkening distance convinced me, that I too must leave this location – and the moment. March 3, 2009 ISO200 1/125 F11 Nikon D-80, / AF-S Nikkor 18-135mm, @18mm
The Pinnacles Desert, WA – Western Australia, (I realised that WA also states Washington, slight confusion!) / July 2009 Early morning, the same as Sunrise at The Pinnacles and Rainbow at The Pinnacles The last image for my calendar of Black and White images Thank you for looking, please view large!
