The magical curves and lines of “The Wave Rock” in Coyote Butes Wilderness Area in Northern Arizona. Sandstone eroded into wild shapes and curves by wind and water over time.

Pine Creek, Zion National Park, Utah. My conscious goal with this image was to simplify the composition.
Rain clouds at sunset in the Arizona desert.
Dusk envelopes Monument Valley in this view of the left and right mitten taken 1/2 an hour after the sun had set. The mauve glow to the twilight sky is what caught mye eye. Editors Pick for Man & Nature Forum on Nature Photographers.net for week of 6-23 to 6-30 2007

Click Here / Upper Antelope Canyon – USA Tour 2008 The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse’ bighanilini, which means “the place where water runs through rocks.” Upper Antelope is at about 4,000 feet in elevation and the canyon walls rise 120 feet above the stream bed. Though dry most of the year, Antelope Canyon runs, and sometimes floods, with water after rains. It is the water, slowly wearing away the sandstone grain by grain, that has formed the beautiful and graceful curves in the rock. Wind has also played a role in sculpting this fantastic canyon. Image captured this afternoon on my walk around Uluru. Having been thoroughly drenched by yet another stormy shower (I had to wrap the camera in a plastic bag), I was amazed to turn around and find this beautiful view as the rain cleared and the sun returned. Uluru, Friday 7th November 2008. [Creative Effects: Contrast adjustment, Omni Spotlight with Photoshop]
Wavelike sandstone patterns of an Arizona slot canyon. In many places I had to turn my shoulders sidewise to get through.
The flowing lines and otherworldly colors of an Arizona Slot Canyon
Every once in awhile I see something in the viewfinder that just really excites me with the possibilities and this happens to be on of those images. After 4 hours of twisting and turning in the narrow confines of Antellop Canyon I spotted this series of repeating curves and some nice light and the rest is history. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did viewing it in person! Sweeping curves of sandstone each eclipsed by the previous layer withing Antelope Canyon

This image of the Right Mitten framed in between two rocks shows the shadow of the Left Mitten falling across it. The Sky was doing some amazing things behind me and I noticed that most people had truned for the sunset. I steedfast remained shooting into the park. The change in colour taking place in the Valley as the sunset came closer was amazing. The right rock is slightly burned in but I am not one to play in Layers. This is a 3 image HDR given only a slight adjustment. The resulting image was then processed in CS3 with a slight adjustment to straighten the horizion and curves to add a little extra contrast.
