Huge rock outcropping in Joshua Tree National Monument, California.
Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. It is located slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell, about four miles or 6 km south of Page. Accessible via a 3⁄4-mile (1.2 km) hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff above, forming a spectacular vista. / This image is actually made of 4 pictures taken with my Canon 20D – 17-40mm L lens and stitched together to create this panoramic

Nature abstract painting. This weekend I was out in the Hajar Mountains , it is about an hour and half drive from Dubai city . here is what i call magic of nature , to me this is just God being an artist , we all can learn something from That. / these Mountains have many layers as you can see , millions of years old , and each layer only about 6 cm deep. Simply amazing what i Personally learn from Nature.it does not get better than this for me . / I kept the colors the textures the same as they are no playing around with Photoshop here.

Unfortunately the skies here in the desert are mostly hazy and full of sand and dust! There are not too many days when there are clear horizons with clouds, and to be able to catch a sunrise like this was just excellent! Located in Libya towards the Algerian border. / /
This is an acrylic painting 11” x 14” on cold pressed watercolour paper of Ayres Rock from a distance. Uluru, (Ayres Rock) stands proud in the middle of the Australian Desert with its brilliant red earth. The rock dates back 500 million years. The Australian landscape is such an inspiration. The natural Desert Red sand against the striking Blue sky is amazing Alone in the desert it stands proud and tall / Even from a distance you can hear its call. / Ruler of the sands, ruler of the skies / a sight to behold one of a kind. / ! / FEATURED IN: AUSSIE BUSH PAINTINGS / OUTBACK AUSTRALIA / CREATIVE CARDS
Sedona, Arizona, USA 2008 Was so focussed on getting to this river before sunset , such a rushed hiked that I lost my bearings on the return trip and nearly spent the night out here !! Was rather daunting but incredibly beautiful nonetheless. I now make sure I have plenty of time either way, perhaps I should invest in a compass and a star chart LOL

Constant down pours for more than a week have produced some amazing sights around Uluru. Usually bone dry sand and dust is transformed into a tropical garden if only for a short time. One of those places on this Earth that I yearn to re-visit. can you blame me ? It is like being on another planet, all those weird shaped rocks, Buttes, Mesas, the gritty dryness, the intense heat of the the mid -day sun, the way the light changes…...I fell in love with this place ! / I got up early for this one, not that I could sleep anyway knowing this place was outside of the motel where we stayed ! / This is the land of the Navajo, and I sat inside a Hogan, where I watched and talked to a man making some jewellery. Very fine work. We solved the problems of the modern world in a very short time ! / This DOES need to be viewed larger to appreciate the details ! I scanned this from a Fuji Velvia transparency, on a Nikon Coolscan V ED, edited it in PS CS3, cleaning up with the spot healing brush, and a little noise reduction. I also employed just a tad ‘Orton’, which I felt enhanced the ‘grittiness’ of the amazing desert. / Shot on my secondhand Ricoh KR10 super. f11, with polarising filter. I cannot remember the lens !
