A shot I’ve been wanting to do for a while.
part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.

Collage inspired by these lines from “Spring” by Gerard Manly Hopkins: “The glassy peartree leaves and blooms, they brush / The descending blue; that blue is all in a rush / With richness..”
Luna Descending Luna descends night’s golden stair / Her raiment glows beneath the glare / She bears her orb in splendor full / Retreating Dawn’s relentless pull Constellations their cadence keep / Sparkling against the velvet deep / Our eyes but know these points of light / Burning brightly in the night Hasten now but mind your step / The earth below has mindless slept / Rest you will ere Sun shall rise / And race again before the tide. This sketch/drawing is a preliminary idea sketch for a future painting…possibly a series. The moon goddess, Luna precedes one of the constellations in the procession across the heavens. I pass by this every morning. It is someone’s address. I love that the numbers are descending and that there are 4 trim lines on the garage door.

This is the fire escape, a couple of sets of metal stairs encased in iron sheeting tacked onto the side of the building, probably as an after thought or later addition to the main buildings themselves. This exit nicely brings me to the end of the photos for this hospital, but i do have thee more sites to upload over the next day or two.
