  • water reflection giving double sight / Olympus sp – 55-ouz

  • Late afternoon on a snowy day, County Derry, N. Ireland. Taken with a Canon EOS 50, Fuji Reala iso 100, +2 exposure compensation. Scanned, resized then post processed with levels and curves and a hint of usm. The day I took this photo, a snowy fog came down, and I lost all sense of directions. I wandered about for ages, very cold, and getting really scared.

  • Enagh Lough, Derry, Northern Ireland. Lough – a body of water such as an inlet of the sea or, as in this case, a lake. / / Fuji Finepix s9600

  • MUSIC Nikon D50 18-55mm lens Derry, Northern Ireland. This is more or less the same view. In this one I love the light on the fields. Don’t worry about commenting, I’m thinking about a calendar with these. /

  • Hot Bush Sunset / Olympus sp-55ouz

  • The countryside near Derry City , Northern Ireland, late afternoon, November. / Nikon D50 50mm f1.8 lens / HDR photography

  • Derry City, Northern Ireland There is a green hill far away I may have uploaded a similar scene before, but bear with me. I’m really enjoying this hdr stuff. The was taken from the Walls of Derry. A late afternoon shot. / St Eugene’s is one of our two cathedral’s. This is the Catholic cathedral, built in the late 19th century. The Church of Ireland (Anglican) cathedral St Columb’s is 17th century. Every year there is a Two Cathedrals Festival with lot’s of fine music and a candlelit procession between the two. In the distance are the Donegal hills. / The hymn was written by Mrs Cecil Frances Alexander, while her husband was an Anglican Bishop of Londonderry in the 19th century. Nikon D50 50mm f1.8 lens /

  • The River Foyle, Derry City, Northern Ireland. / I live in a large housing estate on a hill overlooking the city, and this is the view from the top of our street Just one of many reasons not to move house. During the troubles, the media favoured us with the label “republican enclave”. I didn’t do a survey of my neighbours’ political leanings, and I didn’t know any terrorists. Got caught in plenty of crossfire, though. Very scary!! / These ridiculous labels like the above, and “loyalist enclave” gave no idea whatsoever of the ordinary man and woman, the silent majority, (and I mean majority,) who lived in areas of high unemployment and low income; and who did their best to keep body and soul together in the midst of violence and fear. / I salute them. I salute the parents, especially. I salute my parents. http://images-3.redbubble.net/img/art/backingcolor:white/product:greeting-card/view:preview/2329535-2-a-view-of-the-river.jpg!

  • Derry’s historic Guildhall was built in 1887. The building has been destroyed twice: by fire in 1908, and by bombing during the Troubles in 1972. / Subsequent to 1972, with the use of original designs for the building, some very fine restoration work was carried out, and the Guildhall reopened in 1978. I’ve experimented here with a mixture of hdr and b&w conversion to try and achieve a ‘gothic’ effect. / Fujifilm finepix s9600

  • The quayside, Derry City, Northern Ireland. The River Foyle. HDR / This work was created specially for the Philadelphia Mission. All proceeds from this work will go to the mission. Website

  • The Craft Village, Derry City, Northern Ireland. A purpose built, but charming, craft village. A tranquil place to linger over a coffee. It was raining. / HDR, black and white conversion and toning. / Nikon D50 50mm f1.8 lens

  • Pink Moon Over Derry – Ireland / Huge pink Moon which seemed extremely low in the sky on 11/03/2009 / /

  • The steepest street in Derry, and within the city walls. One of the main commercial and business centres, full of fine Georgian buildings. Prominent in the photo is the Guildhall and you can just see Shipquay Gate. Nikon D50, 50mm f1.8 lens. Single shot HDR converted to black and white.

  • Pink Cows Derry Ireland OLYMPUS SP55 OUZ

  • Another photo taken on the historic Walls of Derry. The Derry Walls were built in the early 17th century, and are the only remaining complete city walls in Ireland. The old city of Derry is one of the finest examples of a walled city in Europe. Canon EOS 450D, 18-55mm lens. Tone mapped in Dynamic-Photo HDR, slightly desaturated and brown-toned Orton effect applied, and some film grain for atmosphere. /

  • I had done a few derrière pictures earlier this year and had not done one in a while. I thought that it was about time to create another one and that I would make this one a more classic “pin up” pose… a style that I have tried to stay away from. Butt sometimes, it is important to revisit the classics! This started as a watercolor, pencil and marker and was finished on paper with chalk pastels.
