I’ve had this photograph since last Autumn, and I’ve attempted to edit it a couple of times, without much success. I sometimes think there’s some invisible force that controls our creativity… or then again, perhaps it’s just down to the mysterious workings of the brain… Photographed in Derbyshire, UK. There are some wonderful views on top of the cliffs that look over the whole of the valley. On this particular morning I got a number of really nice shots of the early morning mist that settled down low. I just love the patchwork feel to the farmland in the valley. Worth waking up at 4 am I think. This is the shot as it came out of the camera. Taken with a Canon EOS1- Ds Mark ll, 28-300 zoom lens with IS
A shot of the sun rising at Padley Gorge in the Peak District. This is my favourite place in the whole wide world…..so far.

It’s been a while since I took any landscape shots, and I didn’t want to miss out on the beauty of Autumn, so I ventured out (in the freezing cold) with my dog, Harpur at my heels, and took this. Hope you like! :-) Photography and Editing: Jennifer Woodward © 2008. If you like this, you might like my calendar

Taken with a Canon 400D, Sigma 17-70 lens at 19mm, 1/10 to 1/40 second exposure, F11, ISO100, Edited Photomatix & Photoshop. I have been looking through some of my old shots that I have not uploaded to redbubble, this shot was taken over in Derbyshire on a stunning October day last year. Ladybower Reservoir is a large Y-shaped reservoir, the lowest of three in the Upper Derwent Valley in Derbyshire, England. The River Ashop flows into the reservoir from the west; the River Derwent flows south, initially through Howden Reservoir, then Derwent Reservoir, and finally through Ladybower Reservoir. Its longest dimension is just over 3 miles, and at the time of construction it was the largest reservoir in Britain.

Bolsover Castle in Derbyshire. Not a true castle in the fighting sense….more of a romantic house built to resemble a castle. / It was built in the early 17th century on the site of a norman castle of which nothing remains. / The castle is now in the safe keeping of English Heritage. / 413 views

Paid a visit to the picturesque Peak district national park in / Derbyshire, met up with fellow bubbler Bradley shawn Rabon who knows the area much better than me, en route somewhere, he turned the the car off the main drag on to a dirt track and stopped the car, showed me into this wood, wondering where I was going, he then told me this is where hidden falls was, I heard the water, then had to clamber down this deep drop into a deep hole in the ground, anyway, here is Hidden falls, I imagine the falls would be quite spectacular after heavy rain… / Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens / From a single RAW file, created several exposures in Photoshop, saved as tiffs, then using Photomatix, HDR’d by using the Exposure fusion method… /
