The Abyss, the deepest extent of the sea, a flat area on the ocean floor, a bottomless depth, spiritual principle within the system of Thelema. The unknown quality of the depth of our psyche. Popularized in movies, novels and television we can be drawn to and terrified of it all in one. I have long held a fascination with the sinographs of Chinese Writing. To be even reasonably fluent in this script one must memorize from 3 to 4 thousand of these detailed logographs. A Kangxi dictionary contains approximately 47,000 distinct characters. For those wandering alone, the Abyss of blue awaits.

Overlapped Red Green and Blue versions of the same girl and roatated and added nudged them to create an illusion of depth. It changes colour if you select different background colour.

I never take for granted that I have beautiful Manly beach on my doorstep. The ocean is blue with diamonds, the surfers show off their skills and the sun shines more often than not. I breathe in the salt air and enjoy the love I have for this coast line.

The original drawing was a draft for a linoprint / But I took the sketch into Photoshop and played around with it, enjoying how the depth really came out when applying a colour.
