All of the sudden, I couldn’t believe what I saw before me.

Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs concerning a perceived threat. In the original Greek, παράνοια (paranoia) simply means madness (para = outside; nous = mind) and, historically, this characterization was used to describe any delusional state.
I smiled as she mumbled incoherently. That meant she was still alive. Good.
It was close to the midnight hour.
Or journey of the lost soul…I guess every day is a failure. I fail to live up to my own life. But I will die trying! I’m ready to make a leap of consciousness. The old struggles are no longer interesting. They do not engage my mind. My energy passes through them-they are mirages. I once sought big monuments of proof that I existed-no more. For me going deeper is better. Deeper insight is all that I seek…and a beautiful cup to drink from.

Delusional Delight was created for my “Creative Amplification” series and as with all my other works in this series it started out as a photograph. In this case, an eclectic collection of the human experience incorporated into a mosaic imbedded in a wall of artistic expression. In looking at the original photograph, I tried to imagine how it would appear while in a hypnotic state of vertigo. What you now see before you is that view, at least in my interpretation. How about yours? Why don’t you just let your self go and dive into the vibrant colors, listen to the sounds and explore the smells of this fast paced dreamscape. Feel the breeze as you spin and twirl and join this tale of history and watch the future unfold right before your eyes. What a rush, and may I suggest a light meal before embarking on this ride?
