I took this close-up of Jesus on the cross which was in a very old cemetery and then when I saw these words on a church marquee, “Jesus built a bridge with two boards and three nails,” I added them to the photo. Something to really meditate about!

this pitcher came about after producing a number of the grail quest images i had seen some staned glass were the images showed angles in morning and i wanted to produce an image just as powerful but in my own stile and in my own way. I knew it had to be dark but at the same time give you the felling of being enclosed by something greater than ourselves and in many ways i feel this is what i managed to achive

I literally got lost on Easter Sunday, looking for places to shoot. I turned on what I thought was a road… turned out to be a private drive that landed me square in the center of a very old three-building residential lot on the crest of a wooded hillside. The feeling I got from that place was one of nonchalance and deterioration gone unnoticed by the inhabitants. In spite of all the various vehicles, not one person ever came out to see why I was there. Before I left the property, as I rounded the first curve away from the place, I looked in my mirror and decided not to leave without taking a shot of this ramshackle old dwelling. Used just for storage now, I’m sure…

I made this for all of the families feeling desperate right now due to economic hardships…so many people losing their jobs, their homes….everyday life as they once knew it. My husband has to take a job away from home – and he leaves tomorrow….three weeks out of each month, gone…. and it just is heart wrenching…. / This picture comes from my heart and what I’m feeling right now. I know I should be grateful he has work – because without the job, we lose everything. :( / Yet…it’s so sad to watch my children miss their daddy – and of course, me too… Anyway – enough rambling… love to all of you… Claudia

This is the result of a few too many red wines around a campfire and the glorious idea of rapidly swinging around a flaming branch in a long exposure. Needless to say, adjacent campers watched on dumbstruck, wondering what illicit substances had been imbibed. Ironically, the flame created a devilish face-like shape which made this shot for me. I feel like I’m versing a demon of some sort. No PS magic- best viewed large.
