This is Clara, she is the inspiration for the entire series – “Clara’s Clouds”. It is an exploration of our childhood fears, beliefs and yearnings. They are all hand rendered and I have used collage, charcoal, paint and pen. I hope you enjoy… Lisa
Graphite pencil and ink on paper.
YEAH!!! We have all been there fear, anticipation, stepping out into the unknown brilliant!
About a cerebral connection, a knowing, a sharing of ideas.
When happiness comes from spending time ‘alone together’, that comfortable fit where you don’t need to try, or talk, you can just be. Water color paint, pen, ink, charcoal, graphite pencil and collage.
Eric the Elephant, a children’s book character I have developed. Water color, pencil, ink, chinograph pencil on cartridge paper. Eric has a passion for building motors, this starts when he is quite young as you can see.
These two characters are so different yet they get along. Milo is cheeky, hyperactive and seemingly ditzy (but of course is highly intellectual and good with his hands), while Jerry is bookish, methodical and uses many long words and speaks…very…deliberately. Milo just waffles on. When they put their heads together things become interesting.
When I asked Scott Robinson to rework this image I thought it might prove difficult him handling such a ‘soft’ image. How wrong I was. I love this even more than I can explain, this is my first collaboration and had no idea how blown away I would be by the experience. I have a new level of respect and admiration for you Scott and it was pretty lofty to begin with. A heartfelt Thank you. Scott Robinson

There are some people in life that just stride towards you with an open heart. I have been lucky enough to have met a few people like this in recent years and all have been remarkable. Those that lead with an open heart… This is a powerful and admirable trait, it is uncommon and brave. I thank them. Paul, Jo, Peter, Matt, Donna and Milton
Just the two girls, hanging around.
A cerebral connection, a knowing, friendship and love.
This is literally how my children hug me. My eldest son presses his face into me and my youngest son just squeezes me. ..and yes do see myself like this. I almost hope the original doesn’t sell. My husband doesn’t feature in this work as I love him in a different way.
This was done a while ago , I didn’t like it and put it away, I found it today – and quite liked it. There you go.
