I took this shot on Bell Island, if you look closely at the base of the cliff you can see a natural tunnel that has been bored through the rock by the water and out to the other side. This is the print version of my artwork Original 24”x36” Acrylic and Mixed Media on Canvas. Sea anemones, boney fish, dancing seaweed and strange spongy things, are all some of the mysteries from the deep sea that I playfully and brightly portrayed on canvas in this cliché “Deep Green Sea”. It’s not your ordinary Deep Blue Sea; it is dimensional with unique mixed mediums, such as methods of tissue paper layering portraying seaweed. As you study this abstract work the animated color combinations will remind you of the salt-water life that lives deep down below us. Oil on canvas, / Created during a time of questioning, / of self discovery, and a time of change….This painting is framed and for sale… / Splashes of gold higlighting flicks of red violet, over a green/blue background, again I worked from my heart, not thinking as this painting evolved, it was only when I took it to the framer he commented on the depth in this work….I don’t analiys my art, I paint it and leave that up to others…to me art strikes different emotions within different people…..I have a friend who I used to paint with who I discovered today is now on Red Bubble, and her interpretation of this painting was very interesting….lol Many many layers of glazing were used to create the finished piece…I hope you enjoy….

Angler fish really are quite remarkable creatures! They live in the deep deep sea, further down than the light can reach, so to lure their prey in total darkness, they have rigged up a system of light emitting devices. They are not turned on here (as he is in the light, and they use up a lot of power so he only turns them on when he is hungry). Watercolour, chalk pastel, ink, conte on canvas.

You think your life is odd… You have 4 seemingly stable dimentions / to go about your shopping in… Based on sketches for a Childrens (+ adult childrens) book I am working on. Created from many pen doodles on reverse side of junk recycled band pamphlets (Snow Patrol – YAWN) from my old job… scanned in and some good old photoshopin’ Enjoy trying to find all the little secrets, enjoy watching your friends scratch there academic heads at this one… Makes M C Escher look like an accountant :P Peace skateboard? /

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. This is another old painting that wasn’t all that great. I re-worked it and added a few things, changes around the colors and took away a bit of over worked parts. I did this one the same time I did Moonlit. This was a very wonderful model named Sandra, she was from Germany. my biggest regret was I could not pay her, she was so good and stayed a long time. Where ever she is now, I wish her well!
