I am going to try and do some experimentation in photo – shop. This is my first attempt and I’m dedicating it to Georges Braque who was born on May 13 in 1882. He grew up near Paris, and in 1902 he settled there to study painting. He really liked pictures by the fauves who painted with bright colors and unstructured forms. He painted in those styles until 1908. In 1908 Braque began to paint in the Cubist Style. Between 1908 and 1913 he began to study light and perspective. He used his studies to use shading of a cube to make it look both flat and three-dimensional at the same time. I have used different painting and then processed them in photo -shop. This is number 1 in the series. Music
The philosophers of Ancient Greece also drew upon the concept of Spiritual helpers. Plato’s Symposium described them as envoys and interpreters, who not only carried prayers up to heaven, but also descended with commandments and responses from the gods. This small painting is dedicated to Jennyfnf – With Love And Healing From Everyone On Red Bubble Music – Angel Meditation / Especially For You Jenny

I really ought to say a great deal more, or a great deal less. It is an improvisation, like everything I am relating here. It is born of the moment. ... The work is the expression of my inner development; for commitment to the contents of the unconscious forms the man and produces his transformations. My works can be regarded as stations along my life’s way…... / Words by Jung Jung experienced a psychotic phase in his life and during this time became immersed in the world of the dead, which lead him to write Seven Sermons of the Dead under the name of second century Gnostic writer, Basilides, which was published in 1916. I dedicated this painting to Carl Gustav Jung who is helping me answer the memories and ongoing dreams. Inspired by Jung 25th January 2009

This is the interior of Jackson’s Mill Covered Bridge which is located about 15 minutes southwest of Breezewood, PA on Jackson’s Mill Road. Image taken October 12, 2008 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm Nikon lens. Post processing included a little Photoshop touch up and Photomatix HDR. Oh, by the way, the camera was hand-held … and I was flat out on my knees, bending backwards pointing the camera UP (like the limber young thing I am haha) ... oblivious to the guy in the black pick-up who was waiting for me to get out of his way. Hey. Ya gotta doooo what ya gotta dooooo!! Ok, there’s another crazy PS to this shot that I hope you all get a kick out of. BigD very sweetly was wondering what was going on with the bottom left of this shot. Well, it’s sunshine coming through the small windows up under the roof, and the too-strong light completely escaped me when I was working on it. Hilarious … I know, kind of like a mom not seeing her kid being a holy terror in the grocery store. Oh my .. too much information there, huh. ANYHOW … BigD and I batted the situation (with the photo, not my kid) around for a while. On his suggestion, I tried levels, burning, and I gave it the old highlights / shadows trick too. Nothing. The sunlight had completely burned out that portion. Of course, the more I looked at it, the more it bothered me. I said to him, well, the only thing I can think to do would be to clone it to death, tedius and time consuming … or … adding another layer, flipping it, and erasing around everything but the sunlit part. I tired it … and … it WORKED!!! HAH!!! And all this withOUT a tripod, NO measuring … just the old eyeballs!!! Soooo … I hereby dedicate this little image to BigD!!! Thank you dear!!!!!!! I’ve left one of the original sunlit versions here for purposes of comparison.
I love to dance so these boogey-woogey bluebirds are right up my alley! They were really cutting the rug this morning on the nesting box. I’d like to dedicate this image to Mrs. Claire LeBauve who passed away recently. She was a cracker jack dancer who lit up the room when she stepped onto the dance floor. Like her family, I truly believe she’s dancing in heaven and still sharing her deep-dimpled smile and her joy with everyone around her. Laissez les bon temps rouler, Ms. Claire! (I think she’d approve of the quote I added; a little bit of craziness never hurt anyone!) For the rest of the story, please see the accompanying Journal Entry

I’d like to introduce you to my kitty Levi. A sweetheart…a hunter…a lap cuddler…and totally a “mama’s boy”. I found Levi about 5 years ago at the humane society when I was in the search of my cat Angel who had dissappeared. When I made my last attempt to find Angel…I spotted this beautiful grey, yellow eyed kitten in a cage. We locked eyes immediately as I picked him up, petting him softly and whispering to him. I had no intensions of adopting a kitten that day…but it was love at first site. I’ve had many cats in my life…but never a bond like this one….which is how he earned his nick name mama’s boy…OH and Mr. Poops of course…you can imagine how he earned that one, lol. We were inseparable…as well as my daughter…boy did Levi love his girls. Today 8/11/09, Levi passed away. 2 days ago Levi had gotten really sick and lethargic and was walking really funny. We’ve had many kitties, and they’ve all gotten sick before…but this time it was different. We took Levi to the vet…and the tests confirmed that he had gotten into “antifreeze” and his kidneys were failing. I’ve heard the horror stories of animals dieing from antifreeze…but this is the first time it’s happened to any of my kitties…let alone, the first time I had to put one to sleep. He was only 5 years old. I can’t even begin to stress how important it is to keep chemicals out of harms way, even if it’s a puddle developing under your car…it’s more deadly than you think…and it would cause a lot of heartache to a loving owner. Levi had to be put to sleep as he was suffering terribly and I stayed with him to the very end. He left me the same way he came into my life…eyes locked, me petting him softly and whispering to him. So this is for you Levi…I love you and thank you for being my best friend, I’ll never forget you!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX My Levi: / / / / / /
I was inspired by the poem of Happy Feet 5, written here she keeps it real, and lets the words that we think about YOU , flow into her pen.. thankyou , Iris A storm is a brewing and it’s calling my name / a storm is a brewing and it’s all in my brain. The thoughts are a swirling like twisters in my head / could this be the storm that I’ve become to dread? I feel like the Mad Hatter who has gone insane / and my thoughts are like the White Rabbit’s / who says “Rush, Rush, Rush / I’m late, late, late / Madness in my thoughts is again beginning to reign My hand takes the pen, / the pen with words starts to flow / the twisters that spin my thoughts are caught on paper / and kinder, friendlier winds start to blow. Now that what is left is a refreshing, gentle breeze / I realized that like Alice who on the ground knelt on her knees / I had fallen into a hole / I have fallen into RedBubble where writers itch / to take their magic pens and bare their very souls. Oh, Red Bubble, this time I put the blame on you for my anxiety / cause you have released the other side of the writer in me, / the one that speaks my truth, my fears, my rage, my realities. Do I dare with my truth out in the open now put the virgil down / and lay me down to rest? / Nay! I dare not, for the windvane never puts the ever-shifting winds / to a test.
