  Just a quick note to say I shall be very quiet for the next few weeks, just had a house clear and have decided to decorate my bedroom myself, I have a new bed arriving in 2-3wks time so I would like to take the time to do it nicely. I have lived in my house for 12-13 years and my bedroom is the only room never done and it shows. I shall pop on now and again when I can, in the meantime have fun everyone.

  Hi everyone, have just uploaded a couple of shots from the week just gone. I have been so busy sorting out my bedroom, haven’t started painting or wallpapering yet and my new bed arrives on Thursday…..still tomorrow I’m going to take old carpet up and Katie will be stripping the wallpaper off, so progress is coming along slowly. I have taken some before photos which I will upload another day. Have taken some time out to spend with Mum, have been worried about her this week, she has been very down and depressed over her ongoing illness, so i’ve been trying hard to find something that she can do while she’s almost housebound at the moment. I have given her a camera and bird book and she’s started to take an interest in the birds in her garden, so fingers crossed that things will get better. Happy bubbling to you all and I will be back soon. / xxxxxxx

  Hi Bubblers Quick update, I am now well into decorating my bedroom and I find myself thinking while I paint, about the best way ( and cheapest) to display all my lovely red bubble cards from all around the world. My favourite idea at the moment is to buy a giant frame, arrange cards in themes to go in the same frame and then I won’t have to buy 20 thousand single frames ,(slight exaggeration!!!!!!!! as my Mum tells me millions of times :)).) Anyway I hope I explained that right. I love a bargain, when I went out the other day there was a lot of reduced paint in the local superbuys, I bought 3 pots of paint for the doors and skirting and the radiator for £3. Then I went to the local B & Q warehouse and discovered to my delight they had a wallpaper sale on. I bought 6 rolls of superfresco paper, with a lovely design, they were orginally £53-94 for 6 rolls but at the sale / price I paid £6. I can’t wait to get it on the walls. Painting came to a halt at the weekend as Dad collapsed at the top of the stairs at 5-00am Sunday morning, Mum managed to get him into the bathroom and he was so sick. She only contacted us at 8-30am to tell us, I drove straight round and my sister turned up 5 mins later. We both told Mum off for not calling us when it happened, she said she didn’t want to disturb us at that hour….....grrrrrrrrr we both said don’t care about the time just phone. Sighhhhhhh, parents they don’t listen do they LOL. Anyway dad is ok, seems he ate something that didn’t agree with him. Mum is having a good week this week such a relief after last weeks depression. Her scans were all clear except the thyroid and calcium ones, so they have dropped steroids and she has been so much better. So my sister and i stayed with them for most of the day on Sunday and somehow ended up defrosting her freezer and cleaning the kitchen …........LOL. Okay back to work for me I have a ceiling to paint. More later, keep bubbling and I miss you all. / xxxxxxxxxxxx

  Hah! that got your atention didn’t it?, just before you rush out & check the papers out to find out if we won the nobel prize for quantum physics we havn’t, well not that I know of anyway!, we decorated! our house, well the hall & upstairs anyway, reason we been quiet lately, Pacific breeze is the colour! well white with a dabble of Green, but it has given the old homestead a splash of fresh air, better than the orange we had before, now all we got to work out is the art solution? probaly the hardest part of decorating, but we got the answer to that Redbubble?, interesting to note that this paint has luminous technology! wow! so that means that we gona have Aircraft landing on us or something worse, hopefully have a few pictures to throw your’e way tommorrow night as we off out with the camera so stay tuned, anyway keep on bubbling & goodnight, we off to watch the new Jason Bourne film Great movie trilogy Paul,Sue & Tiggs

  Hi Bubblers It’s been a hard week, I’ve worked harder than I do at work LOL. Ceiling is all painted, skirting is all done, just one door left to paint and I am now waiting for my brother to come and sort out my lighting and electrics before I start to wallpaper. His wife gave birth to an 8lb baby girl on 22 June called Bethaney so I probably won’t see him until the end of the week. Still plenty to keep me busy, I have a friend’s accounts to do and the rest of the house to tidy …... it’s been neglected while I’ve been working on my room. Back to work on Monday, it’s our financial Year End on 30 June so lots to do there too. Mum has been so much better this week, and the aches and pains seem to be subsiding since coming off the steriods, so fingers crossed …....... Dad has been ok too, so it would appear his illness last week was due to something not agreeing with him, we suspect the pork as he’s always been a bit iffy with it. Anyway am missing you all , and haven’t been out with camera all week, while I’ve been off work this week got myself into the habit of cooking for the kids and Mum and doing the washing up and washing and then going upstairs to decorate so I’ve been painting and shifting furniture until 9-00pm each evening. I’m waffling now so happy bubbling all, and see you real soon. Sharon xxxxxxxxxx

  Hi bubblers / Finally started stripping wallpaper today, not sure if it’s because it so old but it is coming off in big sheets so shouldn’t take long, Katie gave me a hand earlier today. Progress is slow, I’d forgotten that I have to be careful because of the arthritis, I take my pills and make sure I do small amounts, as I am well aware that the last time I decorated I took a week off work and worked all day long all week I then had the following week off sick as my arthritis flared up. Must of been a few years ago as Mum came round and gave me a shower while I sat on a stool….. so this time I’m being much slower, my bedroom has never been decorated in 15 years of living here so I certainly can wait and take my time. Anyway enough waffling here’s a few before photos. We bought the house of a guy whose mother used to live here, she died and he put it up for sale. She was totally blind and I think he just gave everything a coat of paint to freshen the house up. Every room was a brown and beige colour, so I can’t wait to inject some pink and white and silver into the room. I already have my wallpaper, lights,duvet and curtains…...... so watch this space :)) Before Photos The carpet that was already down when we moved into the house in July 1995. My ex husband was not a DIY person, this was his attempt at wiring for the tv and telephone cables. This was a car speaker he set up so that we could hear the tv through it The orignal tv bracket that he put up was so close to the ceiling it made that awful mark, I have since got a new tv and had the bracket put down lower, oh and my shelves in case you were wondering are waredrobe doors that he put up My bedroom light, need I say any more / Katie helping me strip the wallpaper off and finally see how clean it’s left the walls So as you can see I am really looking forward to painting and wallpapering and putting things right and proper. So watch this space and await my new room :)) Goodnight bubblers….......

  Tomorrow is the day. Down come the Christmas decorations. The beautiful tree sitting in the corner has been making me smile for a month. Its lights still reflect the sparkly lights. The tree is starting to lean forward. I think it is because the cat has been jumping up playing with the bulbs. She even knocked some of the lower bulbs off. I picked them up and put them on the TV stand. I took the outside lights down today. I will miss turning them on. I will miss having the lights shine into the windows after the sun sets. They are packed away and the extension cord is in the container with them. The room will seem empty. The decorations will be in the plastic bins. So now the photographs I have taken for the last month and half will be printed and on the walls they go. I will be having fun. That camera sure is fun. Way to go!

  30 minute studio Produced in response to the theme Me Myself and I the 30 images in this series were designed to be installed as an array 6 images wide by 5 high (as can be seen on my web here). The photographic element is a 30 image, 30 minute time-lapse record of me working in the studio. The painting medium used was acrylic on canvas and paper, the paper being the photographs. Each image can also stand alone as an individual self portrait. The residue of marks are painted elements from the original canvas and in the full installation refer to my development as an artist. The symbols used represent a map, a location and the idea of growth and progression. For each standalone image the same marks provide elements that refer to my abstract fusion images. Here is his insightful interview Tell us about yourself and your background I am is a self taught, weekend new Oil on Canvas Artist, Lecturer, Scientist and Consultant lives in Sydney , Australia. I hold Ph.D in Physics and Masters in Internetworking from UTS. I have found art to be very refreshing to creativity and have a profound impact on people to convey a message easily and effectively. Describe your artistic journey. How does it affect your life? Well I am a keen observer with high level of imagination, intuition, and excelled in Art work and drawing in my H.SC. But persued the science stream. But I did realise there is something else I want to devote my talent and share with the world to make a positive difference in the life of people. Only 3 years ago, I was given as one of surprise gift as a set of small canvas and set or colors on my birthday and I just painted the first portrait and started from there. I do my day job as a employment consultant helping unemployed people to find work and mentor & as a life coach; to over come their barrier like no family support, lack of education and training, lack of money, no experience, loneliness, loveless life, addictions – Drinking, Gaming, Drugs, mental health etc. I found it challenging and realised that the people are just struggling badly and need sound & holistic support services and strategies to empower them to stand on their own two feet. Other than that, I do spend my evenings, nights & weekend with non-stop painting and I felt great, over the moon, with sheer joy, no stress at all.. What inspires you to paint? Perhaps the helpless people in the society forced me to paint love art. My Love Art work is to enhance love , life and bring back Romance to energise our life and is being used as “ Love- Art- Therapy ( LAT) ” successfully, which transform the people into a heavenly state having sheer Joy, Happiness, Bubbly nature, a great Hope, Confidence and overcome anxiety, depression, helplessness as people view his art work Sunil sees this world as a small village having mutual dependence among the People, Animals, and Nature; and has identified a set of values.   Hello everyone. I have just registered a few minutes ago, and i couldn’t wait til i have my artwork ready for uploading (still have to check the right file size, etc). I feel blessed to have stumbled upon this community. As a self-taught artist, and as a stay-at-home mom, i find it difficult to have to handle all the other things that goes with marketing my work. I am hopeful that Red Bubble is just the perfect solution for me.
