In reference to my writings as of late… It’s such a wonderful feeling to be able to be “exactly who you are” without having to hide behind masks which are carefully decorated with sparkly, fake smiles, loud lies of laughter, sweet, alcohol induced social gatherings & deciding which one to pick off the hat rack for each of these occasions!!! Now I just walk out the door, full faced, shiny or not, smiling or sad, serene or agitated, however always loving; and take on whatever the world is going to throw at me…and I’ve got killer reflexes & the greatest catchers mitt around!!! I love rainy, overcast, windy days. Someone has to, I suppose. The pink/purple of the fireweed has yet to reach its full splendor. As Alaskan legend has it, when fireweed blooms all the way to the top of its spire – the six-week countdown to winter begins. Some of us can hardly wait. It felt great to get out in the elements! ...feeling truly serene today..finished my painting and my website about 1am…phew! hard work but am happily creating my heART again…painted this on my digital Tablet last nite then enhanced it in CS4+plug-inz …this landscape is the third in the Japanese ‘Bamboo’ series ..... the Japanese writing on the painting means Serene …God grant me the serenity / to accept the things / I cannot change, / the courage to change the things I can, / and the wisdom to know the difference”.
