/ Here we have Jungle Fever….. Troppo Blue has turned himself inside out and duplicated himself to create a little female to share his life with… The flowers on the elephants’ hide can only appear during the warm tropical summer heat and Troppo Blue only has the ability to duplicate a mate during the tropical season too, it’s magic… There are tshirts and wall art in both Troppo Blue and Jungle Fever designs… this is the first time that Troppo Blue and his mate have ever seen humans, so be kind to them red bubblers and say hi, and make them feel very welcome…in the winter their skins turn pale again, and the flower skins disappear….it’s only in the summer that they are like this….and it’s very very rare to see one Elephant Kingdom Calendar (these ellies are now included in my new calendar)

This is one of my favourite woodblock cuts which was featured just recently, but because I was on the road for 5 days I missed the opportunity to have it submitted into the “Best of Black” Challenge. Which inspired me to create a Tee, to give this piece more exposure and credit. Hope you like it too. Just a decorative piece I made from illustrations (pen and ink) of various trees and plants on one of my favourite walks in the Rimutaka forest park. I would have drawn these on-site but its generally veiled in sheets of misty rain, making sketching kind of like drawing on wet toilet paper with a wire brush… Hmmm!! If you’d like a version with text of any sort added, let me know and I’ll make one up for you.
