  • We were vacationing in Iran and there were these mausoleums and tombs in tribute to great poets, architecture reminiscent of old Islam and gorgeous tiles and organic paintings on the walls. This shot was almost unintentional, I noticed the light and the shadows and just took the shot, this one shot. I didn’t even look at it on the digital screen of my camera, there was so much beauty around me I didn’t want to waste time, I didn’t want to miss anything. I didn’t see this shot again till I uploaded the pictures onto my laptop. This picture is a reminder of the beauty of Iran.

  • While we were roadtripping through New England one of our first stops was in Essex, Connecticut. The season was fall and our intention was to take in the wonders of nature, enjoy the fall foilage. In Essex we bought tickets for the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat. When we got to the ticket counter it turned out that the train had been reserved for a private party and not open to the public on that day but since it was just the two of us ( my husband and I) they said they would give us a private car. If you still haven’t figured it out well the private car looked like what you see above. It had this antique feel about it, reminded me of a time when these trains were the means of tranportation, nothing like the trains we have today. And then every once in a while the steam train would let out a tut. It was enchanting. The blue of the chairs so cool, so lush, the sun streaming in. A perfect stop on what turned into a perfect trip. / Sitting the old Fashioned Way

  • Impressionist, painterly / two boys doing what they do best in the rain. Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.

  • Fictional digital painting made with Photoshop. / Full view please Dear little doll series… / POLLY / EUGENIA / MUFFIE / VALERIE / TIFFANY Since this is my first attemp to paint digitaly I thought to share with you that I’m feelng a little weird … huh… correction: I’m feeling very weird. For accuracy, I feel like one of my characters – my eyes are wide open (out of anticipation for what will happen next); my brows draw together and my mouth is stretch horizontally (laughs). It’s like the fist time I did upload my first painting, excactly one year back. It’s a very big suprise to me. I’d never thought that I will ever paint digitally – really, it just came suddenly before 2 … I don’t quite remember exact maybe 3 nights. Anyway, I felt that I need a “break” from my beloved brushes, paints and canvases. The most imporant, I want to clear my mind a bit from the Halloween series calendar cause I’d hated to make something that it won’t be inspired and absolute authentic from me. So it may be ready far long after Halloween… laughs… maybe it will be ready in Christmas time xxx Back to that night ➪ Of course I ended up to make my office like a bombed place with charcoals, pastels… Water and ink running below my keyboard and on the floor… just imagine. / / The good from all this destruction is a little face I did, a totally scarp face but I did love it from the first moment ♥ (and it looks like me too :) So much that I couldn’t leave it in the mess that was! Here you can see it: / ☯ So concluding, all the dollies of this series are based in this little one scrap face, always in the same position but each one of them has a different personality. All the names of the dollies are names from existing famous dolls. Ok I will stop talking now, / I’m leaving you view my work and I really hope you like it. • / / There’s an Elephant in my Garden / a drawing on catridge from my Art Diary / digitally coloured I hope that the grownups who look at this painting will remember something special from their childhood, some hopeful feeling, which will help them through today’s difficulties. There are all the colours of the rainbow in this piece, to remind us that there is always hope, no matter how hopeless it seems sometimes. The rainbow is a sign of hope. Children See/Children Do powerful message for grownups I hope that all the children who look at this painting will drift off into a faraway place in their imagination and feel wonderful for a while, especially if things are getting them down…and if life is wonderful, may this little picture add to the wonder and spark the imagination. Big hello to Maya!! :) / There’s an Elephant in my Garden – Sepia Drawing also available (click here) A sepia drawing before I colour this work…. “there’s an elephant in my garden” Inspired by my parents talk of topiary gardens in Tassie and their topiary teapot in the backyard and my little girl with the curl Sarah, who’s all growed up now (but this reminds me of her when she was a littlun)...thanx Nenek and Poppy….luv ya
