This is a painting i had done five years back using water soluble pastels.I seldom name my own paintings, they get their names from my family when they are making some silly reference to them like, ‘Rice Paddy Girl’ .I think i should stick with her real name as silly as it sounds.
“A Touch of Paradise” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © Sunrise in tropical Mission Beach, far north Queensland, Australia. “Flamingos walk, and sway in peace / Seeing this, it makes my troubles cease / The sun is hiding, leaving a pink scar / That stretches right across the sky / Thats all weve seen so far / And all I do is look into your eyes / For that special touch of paradise / Just a touch, a touch of paradise / Just a special touch of paradise / You hold my hand, thats when we kiss / And it doesnt take long no, until I get the gist / Of this love that stretches out across the land / Where rainbows flash, as were walking in the sand / And all I do is look into your eyes / A touch of spring, and autumn sweet / Well the trees vibrate when our eyes meet / And I think of all the love that we have been making / You touch my hand and I walk off shaking / And all I do is look into your eyes.” / ~Ross Wilson and G Smith
views: 522 / favs: 15 Taken May 20, 2007 with a Fuji E-510. See my Miura Coast calendar. This rock in, known as Shiroyama (literally means “white mountain”), is located Arasaki Park (Yokosuka, Japan). Yokosuka is a city in Miura near Hayama, the town where I did my internship. Hayama is renowned for the beach and green hills, and this place was just a drive down. Hayama literally means “leaf mountain” in Japanese, and indeed Hayama is full of green mountains. The coast of Yokosuka, Hayama; along with other cities in Miura are popular for their beaches and offer a rich experience with nature. This is four photos that I chose to layer to get a similar effect as “nature under water” and “the nature of things” although I used live nature and threw it on printed images for the others. The amazing gifts of the earth that we live with and we survive because of…......we are all connected. A song called Dancing / by Elisa Toffoli

A loose watercolour painting with touches of acrylic on Arches paper. Imagine an evening stroll along a hidden trail as the sun is setting throwing its warm glow across the shady trees… I did and this is what I created. Nothing like a glorious night to motivate one for a walk! Evening Stroll The sky was alight to my delight / oh my look at those colours what a sight! / Let’s go for a stroll I said to my dog / the night is clear, no rain, no fog. The flowers were dancing their colours aglow / the tree branches swaying putting on a show / the night lit up we were bathed in light / Oh for sure this was a glorious night! A 40cm x 40cm acrylic painting on canvas of maple leaves. It was raining here one day so I grabbed my camera and went and took some photos of the glistening Japanese Maple leaves in our garden. I decided to paint them on a canvas painted black to show off their colours and add contrast and was very pleased with the outcome. Maple Leaves See the leaves on the maple tree / The rain has gone, they blow wild and free… / Sparkling raindrops settle and gleam / A delightful show that must be seen!
