“I believe that today more than ever a book should be sought after even if it has only one great page in it: we must search for fragments, splinters, toenails, anything that has ore in it, anything that is capable of resuscitating the body and soul.” / – Henry Miller, Tropic of Cancer The Untapped Source Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

Great ideas come into the world as quietly as doves. Perhaps then , if we listen attentively we shall hear, among the uproar of empires and nations, the faint fluttering of wings, the gentle stirrings of life and hope. Some will say this hope lies in a nation; others in a man. I believe rather that it is awakened, revived, nourished by millions of solitary individuals whose deeds and works every day negate frontiers and the crudest implications of history. Each and every one, on the foundations of their own suffering and joy builds for all. / – Albert Camus The Untapped Source Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”
“Extérieurement nous allons paisiblement côte à côte, mais pendant ce temps-là l’air qui nous sépare est sillonné d’éclairs comme si quelqu’un le fendait continuellement à coup de sabre.” / Franz Kafka – Extrait de “Lettres à Felice” / / / Digital abstract / flame fractals / / 24.3 megapixels (9000 x 2700), 2007.11.11th / © 2007 by Nodakami / www.nodakami.com / /

Abstract digital mixed media / photographs and flame fractals / / 9.8 megapixels (3840×2560), 2009.02.14th / / This is part of a current graphic project where I hope to design an album cover for a friend’s ethnodrones soundscape music. More details soon. / Although no material I used is directly linked to Peru, and I didn’t know about Paracas culture before researching it from my friend’s track title (‘Paracas’), it seems his music, that I listened to while creating the picture, magically guided me towards this abstraction strangely reminiscent of Pre-Columbian geoglyphs. Hence the name I chose aftwerwards (translating as ‘From here to Paracas’). / / © 2009 by Nodakami / www.nodakami.com

Fractal created in Apophysis, postprocessed in PhotoImpact. This image reminded me of : William Shakespeare Macbeth: Act 4, Scene 1 (The three witches): “…Double, double toil and trouble; / Fire burn, and cauldron bubble…”
Fractal created in Apophysis, postprocessed in PhotoImpact. God’s Grandeur The world is charged with the grandeur of God. / It will flame out, like shining from shook foil; / It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil / Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod? / Generations have trod, have trod, have trod; / And all is seared with trade; Bleared, smeared with toil; / And wears man’s smudge and shares man’s smell: the soil / Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod. And for all this, nature is never spent; / There lives the dearest freshness deep down things; / And though the last lights off the black West went / Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs — / Because the Holy Ghost over the bent / World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings. Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844–89)

May I introduce two galactic travellers? This couple comes from a planet of a very distant galaxy. Somehow their spaceship broke down, and now they are feeling lost, trying to catch a wurmhole which would carry them closer to their homeplanet….. / Maybe we should whish them some luck! / :-) / ______ This digital painting is based on a fractal made in Apophysis and a selfrendered planet image. Heaven on Earth, we need it now / I’m sick of all of this hanging around / Sick of sorrow, sick of the pain / I’m sick of hearing again and again / That there’s gonna be peace on Earth Where I grew up / There weren’t many trees / Where there was, we’d tear them down / And use them on our enemies They say that what you mock / Will surely overtake you / And you become a monster / So the monster will not break you And it’s already gone too far / Who said that if you go in hard, you won’t get hurt? / Jesus, can you take the time / To throw a drowning man a line? / Peace on Earth Tell the ones who hear no sound / Whose sons are living in the ground / Peace on Earth / No whos or whys / No one cries, like a mother cries / For peace on Earth / She never got to say goodbye / To see the colour in his eyes / Now he’s in the dirt / Peace on Earth They’re reading names out over the radio / All the folks, the rest of us won’t get to know / Sean and Julia, Garreth, Ann and Breda / Their lives are bigger than any big idea Jesus, can you take the time / To throw a drowning man a line? / Peace on Earth / To tell the ones who hear no sound / Whose sons are living in the ground / Peace on Earth Jesus, sing the song you wrote / The words are sticking in my throat / Peace on Earth / Hear it every Christmas time / But hope and history won’t rhyme / So, what’s it worth? / This peace on Earth Peace on Earth / Peace on Earth / Peace on Earth / / created with Apophysis&PSP /
