Just a quick note to say I shall be very quiet for the next few weeks, just had a house clear and have decided to decorate my bedroom myself, I have a new bed arriving in 2-3wks time so I would like to take the time to do it nicely. I have lived in my house for 12-13 years and my bedroom is the only room never done and it shows. I shall pop on now and again when I can, in the meantime have fun everyone.

Hi everyone, have just uploaded a couple of shots from the week just gone. I have been so busy sorting out my bedroom, haven’t started painting or wallpapering yet and my new bed arrives on Thursday…..still tomorrow I’m going to take old carpet up and Katie will be stripping the wallpaper off, so progress is coming along slowly. I have taken some before photos which I will upload another day. Have taken some time out to spend with Mum, have been worried about her this week, she has been very down and depressed over her ongoing illness, so i’ve been trying hard to find something that she can do while she’s almost housebound at the moment. I have given her a camera and bird book and she’s started to take an interest in the birds in her garden, so fingers crossed that things will get better. Happy bubbling to you all and I will be back soon. / xxxxxxx

Hi Bubblers Quick update, I am now well into decorating my bedroom and I find myself thinking while I paint, about the best way ( and cheapest) to display all my lovely red bubble cards from all around the world. My favourite idea at the moment is to buy a giant frame, arrange cards in themes to go in the same frame and then I won’t have to buy 20 thousand single frames ,(slight exaggeration!!!!!!!! as my Mum tells me millions of times :)).) Anyway I hope I explained that right. I love a bargain, when I went out the other day there was a lot of reduced paint in the local superbuys, I bought 3 pots of paint for the doors and skirting and the radiator for £3. Then I went to the local B & Q warehouse and discovered to my delight they had a wallpaper sale on. I bought 6 rolls of superfresco paper, with a lovely design, they were orginally £53-94 for 6 rolls but at the sale / price I paid £6. I can’t wait to get it on the walls. Painting came to a halt at the weekend as Dad collapsed at the top of the stairs at 5-00am Sunday morning, Mum managed to get him into the bathroom and he was so sick. She only contacted us at 8-30am to tell us, I drove straight round and my sister turned up 5 mins later. We both told Mum off for not calling us when it happened, she said she didn’t want to disturb us at that hour….....grrrrrrrrr we both said don’t care about the time just phone. Sighhhhhhh, parents they don’t listen do they LOL. Anyway dad is ok, seems he ate something that didn’t agree with him. Mum is having a good week this week such a relief after last weeks depression. Her scans were all clear except the thyroid and calcium ones, so they have dropped steroids and she has been so much better. So my sister and i stayed with them for most of the day on Sunday and somehow ended up defrosting her freezer and cleaning the kitchen …........LOL. Okay back to work for me I have a ceiling to paint. More later, keep bubbling and I miss you all. / xxxxxxxxxxxx

Just wanted to say thanks to all my friends for your support and comments, I know I haven’t gotten around to looking at all your images these last few weeks. I tend to hit a friend and look through their recent images, and I haven’t got to you all it’s not just to return a comment but because I love looking at your work and beautiful images. The weather has been so hot and humid at the moment so any spare time has been spent out taking photos, coming home and downloading them to sort through later..much later LOL. My bedroom decorating has been on hold because of hot weather and waiting for my brother to do his bit…....which as usual is not happening, therefore as soon as weather cools a bit I shall go ahead and finish my room without the lights being done. Katie has just had her Junior Prom and is now on 6 weeks summer hols and I’m trying to find ways of keeping her entertained. We are going to a special pond dipping on Tuesday with the local council and the following week we have a special day at the local muesum. / My cat with the one eye has again been back and forth to the vets….....she broke a tooth and it became infected…..more mega money, we have also noticed that the pupil of her other eye is always fully dialated and the vet confirmed yesterday that it is damaged and she is blind. Don’t worry she is well cared for by us and it doesn’t appear to bother her. Finally Mum seemed to be doing well again…...and then I had a phone call about half hour ago, she was in tears and said she is fed up and really down so after this we are going around to see what we can do to cheer her up and lift her mood. I know a little of how she feels as about 4 years ago I was suddenly crippled with arthritis and I was virtually housebound for about 6-8weeks and then the pills the doctor gave me kicked in and I started to feel better. I find if i do too much it flares up again. I took a week off work a couple of years ago to decorate my hallway downstairs, then after that i had to have a week off work as my athritis flared up and I couldn’t move one arm from the side of my body for 4 days….......and who do you think looked after me both times…..... my beloved Mum OK I shall go round mum’s now , see what I can do, thank’s for letting me waffle on…... love you all / Sharon

I’m sorry if I have been a little absent the last couple of days…I have been trying my hand at re-decorating the room that has my computer in it…I have decided that I don’t have a future in Painting and Decorating…it’s going up and down the ladder and cleaning all the rollers & brushes thats killed it for me LOL! As most of you know, I do several other ‘crafty’ things besides painting. I make beaded jewelry, wearable strapless Faerie Wings, and Faerie Masks. I wanted to take a moment so share part of my crafty side with you. (My appologies – with my computer at home down, most of these pics are from my crappy camera phone – unfortunately a lot of the detail is lost) Faerie Masks / I call these Faerie Masks for a few reasons. 1 – they look as if they crawled right out of the Land of Faerie, 2 – when making them alone, one or many faeries will help to inspire the look of a mask, and 3 – when making them for and with an individual, I can bring out their inner faerie. Just this past weekend, I started a collection of Holiday themed masks. All of my masks are wearable and make a great addition to any costume – whether it be for Halloween, a Convention, Masquerade, or other themed event – but they also make WONDERFUL decorations for your home. Hang them on the wall, make them part of a centerpiece, tie them onto a candelabra, or, my favorite idea, use them on a holiday wreath instead of a big bow! You can even use them as a very cool and very different Christmas Tree topper! They make AMAZING alternative holiday decorations for those of you who celebrate the Solstice or Yule. They can also be made with colors that work for any time of the year!! This collection is being made for sale at a local craft fair on December 10th. What doesn’t sell there will be available to the general public and I will then take custom orders as well. (I take PayPal and will ship around the world – masks range from $30 – $50 US) I have also included pictures of masks from some previous collections and sales. / Faerie of the Winter Solstice / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Last Harvest Satyr / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Yuletide Faery / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Sugar Plum Faery / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Blue Frost Faery / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Lord of Samhain / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Lady of Samhain / For sale @ Columbia Craft Fair 12/10 / Baccus / Personal collection – for my sister / Faery Queen of Winter / Sold / Faery King of Winter / Personal Collection / Faery of Storms / Available for sale @ The Queen of Cups in Portland, OR / Lord of Fire / Available for sale @ The Queen of Cups in Portland, OR / Faery of Spring / Sold / Lord of Fire & Faery of Storms / My husbnad and I at the FaerieWorlds Bad Faerie Masquerade / King & Queen Faeries of Winter / My husband and I at the FaerieWorlds Good Faerie Masquerade – Awarded King & Queen of the Good Faerie Ball!
