1840 v2.0 / With the original versions of these pictures I was not able to use all the shots because they where damaged. But now, four years later, and with Photo Shop CS3, I’m able to rescue some really great pictures and show them now with pride. / This series was done in the middle of the woods, around the middle of Dec, 2002. It was freezing! The hot chocolate helped though. Most of these pictures are with Theak & Alex standing together, this was not a direction, and they were doing this out of a need for warmth! Half of these pictures were taken using a Nikon F, or F2 I believe, (no markings on the camera), and the other half with a Canon G3 digital camera. / Great makeup job by Rhiana, and of course, the whole look and feel of this shoot would not have been possible if not for the styling of Elisa. / Photo by Jef Harris / http://www.jefharris.net
This image was taken on Rannoch Moor, Scotland on a very cold December morning (2007).
From a series of surfer shots taken in Inverloch. / I’m considering this for an Australian national portrait exhibition – an Australian with their environment. Please let me know what you think.

The title says it all. Taken just outside of Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Again a shot from my archive, showing a lightful forest road near Hilversum in December 2007. Only seldom you find these wonderful conditions of haze and sunshine in our forests here coming together in such a conspicuous way. Near Hilversum, 13th December 2007, 9.52 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 40 mm / F 8, 1/80, ISO 200
Last december we didn’t have snow at all, so there were details like this on the lake.
Bluegirl; she started a revival in my work. I am proud of her. It had been a while (years) since I’d produced anything, anything I was proud of. Working on her was akin to coaxing a fossil from the ground. Where an archaeologist might use a soft brush, my conté smoothed the paper away from her. Revealing her curve – her shape – her mood. Working as I do, on a flat table, walking circles around the work, conversing with it, singing to it (she likes Led Zeppelin); often with my face millimetres from the page, I can say I know her well. Very well. I hope you enjoy her company also.

I wonder what it would have been like in the forest this morning … Unfortunately I did not manage to go. So I treat you on an older shot from December, taken on a wonderful morning in December which had that enchanting mixture of haze and bright sunshine. Near Laage Vuursche, 2nd December 2008, 10.24 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 120 mm / F 20, 1/50, ISO 400
My dog, Griffin – looking up into the sky as snow falls on him. I peeked out the second story window to take the picture.
Another picture from my old box which may activate your imagination. There are quite a few elements for a mysterious adventure, are there not? The eerie atmosphere, the mist, the dark trees … Good luck in the mystery world! Don’t overlook that I dared to enter the forest on the 13th of a month! Near Laage Vuursche, 13th December 2007, 10.05 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 120 mm / F 5,6, 1/80, ISO 200
This untouched macro image of tiny icicles forming on a rosehip was taken with a Pentax K10D. The edges of the icicles had begun to melt in the afternoon sunshine but were soon to freeze up again, as the warmth of the sun hasn´t got a lot of strength here yet and frost was already rising when this shot was taken. / The fact that water can take on so many beautiful, fragile and delicate forms and can adorn whole landscapes, transforming them into works of natural magic, never ceases to amaze us. This is the main wondrous fact that makes our long, often very rainy and grey, winter bearable. Eifel region, January 2009, on a beautiful winter sunset. / As is, untouched work! / / /
This is an original image I shot here in Anderson, CA on 12/05/08 in the evening…....I can’t believe that I actually have Paperwhites blooming in December! No, this sort of light in combination with the early haze is special present which you do not get here on each December morning. But when you have it, it is like a sort of photographic heaven. Taken again in the forests near Hilversum. Near Hilversum, 2n December 2008, 9.37 am / Nikon D89, Nikkor 18-.200 mm at 50 mm / F 14, 1/50, ISO 400
